Steve Bruce (now unemployed)

His position surely can’t be tenable much longer  He literally threw four players under the bus on Saturday and has blamed almost every single one of them at some stage this season.

Rumours of an unhappy squad have lingered for a long time now. Lascelles didn’t do much to squash those runours on Saturday night.

There was a list of players Bruce has falling out with on Twitter

Nicky Forster on this weeks Undr the Cosh podcast. Played with him at Birmingham, said he’d get a driver to drive him to training; he’d get there an hour early and just sit in back of car reading the paper instead of socialising before training.

Said he’d never bother doing a warm up, just ran himself a bath and sat in it reading the paper instead of going out for the warm up.

Bruce got the goalkeeping coach to tell darlow, didn't even have the balls to tell him himself, sums the bloke up

We don’t have one, Steve Harper fucked off to look after the kids.

Simon Smith is our GK coach, Harps was helping with the whole team as coach.

At this stage in the season, looking like no takeover, Ashley having zero interest, I’m not sure i want someone else coming in and carrying the can for what Bruce has done all season.

He should stay here and own it (if we are relegated), if he leaves and we still go down those f***ing pundits will drive this narrative of “you never know, he might have turned it around”

I don’t want them having anywhere to hide.

My hatred of Steve Bruce is heavily outweighing my love for this version of the club right now

Honestly, I'm so repulsed by everything I'm now firmly in crash and burn territory.

Want to see the whole thing go down in flames until MA is forced to sell for peanuts.

Giving my support to this. Feel exactly that.

Many people who say relegation wont get rid tend to be media/other forum trolls, which only makes me want to test it out more.  Like they fear this would work.

We've done the PL thing, 12years - no sale, and all that matters is getting rid of him, so happy to try anything, including that.

That's what I take him for too. Doesn't even seem to watch the other games of teams around us or know their results, cant imagine him scrutinising the opposition thoroughly.  Absolute bare minimum. I've done that in work myself but not getting paid a fortune in a job I made out was my dream job.

Even the way we've played 90% of the time under him is the way someone who doesn't know what they're doing but doesn't want to expose themself would play. 10 behind the ball, hope for the best, maybe the flair player will get us out of jail.

How many current players really think he's a great, or even good, man manager?  They may just be saying it.

Just the fact that Jones has come in to improve the club tactically has to be a loss of face for the cabbagehead.  How can he look his players in the eye when its obvious his prattling about tactics made him look an arse.

Simon Bird joining Craig Hope in having a pop today. Looks like his treatment of reporters is starting to bite him in the arse.

Wow!

Bruce has turned chicken, ducking the most searching questions of his media duties.

Last Friday he faced tame questions from broadcasters for 18 minutes, while allowing three questions from the 12 newspaper and website reporters, lasting just two minutes.

We'd often spend half an hours chatting with his predecessor Rafa Benitez, getting insight into his thoughts and methods. That's communication.

After Saturday's draw, Bruce did his TV duties, then took a question from a national agency and one from an uncritical reporter before Zoom was cut off.

"The latest mantra is: “I've always said it is about the accumulation of points...” is pointless waffle. We've grasped the concept of a league."

Dying for one of the journos to actually say that to him. It's deflecting, patronising, disingenuous nonsense.

I think Simon Bird was the one who got snapped at when he asked the question about Ole, was it not? Could be wrong.

I'm so glad that more and more people are starting to see him for the useless bastard that he is. Still remember that fucking tweet from Mark Douglas around December '19. "Doing alright isn't he!" argh get fucked man.

I'm surprised the media haven't turned on him by now. He gives them nothing but scraps to feed on and treats them like shit. It would be great if they'd all just ignore the arrogant tosser. Like none of them logging into his Zoom conferences and shit. He needs to know he needs them more than they need him and I and a few thousand other fans would rather read what a shit job he's doing at our club (with a few meaty facts thrown in) than all these bullshit quotes he's been repeating since time bagan.

 this is unreal. He speaks it like its the solving of Fermat's theorem ffs. That's literally how a league works. Oh I've always said its about how many points you finish the season on, that determines your league position relative to the other teams".

Nar, he spoke with a non-NE accent. Another reporter said it was this fella, who I must admit I've not heard of before:

EDIT: By "Another reporter" I mean Miles Starforth. The RT is top of his feed

 Cheers. Didn't realise Bird was from the North-East actually, hence the suggestion.
