And why not spend the 4 million to try and retain 100 million by not getting relegated

Because Ashley really isn’t bothered about relegation. He thinks he can build a championship promotion team cheaper than he can build a premiership surviving one. He’s too thick to realise you need a top manager to achieve this though.

Repay Bruce’s loyalty??????????

What the fuck? He is an absolute snake of a bloke for one. And secondly, if a club come along offering more money, the whale would be off like a shot.

All of Ashley’s mistakes come back to this. He doesn’t understand football, and he’s too thick to adjust his thinking. We’re talking about compensation being an obstacle for Ashley, but the fresh line is Ashley wants to repay Bruce’s loyalty. He needs to make a football decision he’s too thick to make, and is instead rewarding sycophancy - at the cost of untold millions.

How the fuck does he know what Mike Ashley's feelings are like, its the same people who were making stuff up during the Saudi takeover process.

Anyway, as long as Bruce in charge there is no hope of escaping relegation, or even winning another game this season, how is his stats compared to other managers? are they as bad as his tactics/style of play/everything ls?

What ever happened to managers resigning when they knew their time was up?

TBF Bruce is a football nomad that follows the money, he brought in other mercenaries and its gone to shit.

I lost a lot of respect for .com over the years but they have tore into Ashley and Bruce in their match report last night fair play

“The wisdom and experience of 23 years in management produced this absolute joke of a non-performance; entirely reliant on the proficiency of the opposition and without any vague notion of positivity.

The only unrealistic expectation that fans of this club can be accused of is thinking that Bruce would be competent - and when he showed his true colours, that those in charge would be able to act promptly and decisively. There's always a first time.

Make no mistake, we deserve to be relegated for the utter stupidity in appointing Bruce and allowing his complacency to pollute this club from the top down.

Nobody does give a f**k anymore - certainly not the players, who seem meekly resigned to their fate if tonight's feeble showing was any indication.

The quote that we started this piece with may be too long for an epitaph, but here's a far more succinct one:

Here lies Steve Bruce.

That's not a death threat - just a reflection of the fact everything he says is untrue and nobody believes a word of it. The road to ruin is clearly signposted Mike: every day that Bruce stays, this club dies a little bit more.”

Excellent. Geordie boy Bruce needs to own this relegation 100%. No slinking off with his payoff while some other mug takes the fall.

Seeing him and the other Brexity dinosaur Allardyce exit the PL at the same time, will be most satisfying.
