It will be interesting if uefa have the bottle to add a wage cap after this.

They want one to stop the premierships dominance in the transfer market.

if there is another league with no cap players will go there not just at the end of their careers.

Could we realistically move players there for a fee?

Yes, however it would be open to investigation over FFP manipulation. Basically, what Juve was punished for, trading players for inflated values.

More likely we turn into a feeder club for them. Clearly a huge change of focus from outward to inward.

Is there anything on record regards their plans for us, and what happens if those plans change? It seems we have a lot of supporter representatives getting chummy with the face of the ownership, not so many actually asking questions and clarifying their plan here. Should this not be what the Trust are for?

Very, very little.  And what has been said is lacking in any kind of detail.  They’re more like silent investors - again, very different from PSG & Man City where it was clear from day one who was running things and where they were aiming.

Agreed re the Trust.  Arse-kissing fans reps are never a good thing; they’re far too desperate to be close to those running the club.  Arms-length is more appropriate

Purely speculation but if they did for some reason decide to sell, I’d imagine PCP and the Reubens would look for another suitable partner. I think we all know that isn’t happening of course - why flog their stake now when they could in the future for a much larger figure. You just need to see the increase in Forbes valuation in 12 months.

I was actually impressed with Al Hilal in terms of who they had when we played them - this despite them missing all their WC players

with the money they have they can exploit so many markets - like the South American one for example

2 of them play in Riyadh, and the other 2 play in Jeddah.

I wonder if they will merge the two clubs from the same cities and create a ‘United’ team in each city?

Having big rivalries with big name players is probably the point.

It’s a fucking grotesque argument that mind.  Proper business-speak wank.  It’s obviously bad for sport for one owner - in this instance, the funding arm of a dictatorship - to own its four most popular clubs.

We're the evil blood money club anyway , i don't mind seeing these 4 Saudi clubs signing big money players and loan to us for free, there's literally no rule against it, basically give a big middle finger to the so called current FFP that protecting those "elite" clubs [emoji38]
