They've basically taken over the PGA Tour and dressed it up as a "merger"

What about the likes of Mcilroy who was very vocal against Saudi and human rights

Gonna be a tough one for his morality this. Expecting there will be a few trying to form a breakaway tour, the ones who were very anti this last year

Or they’ll just quietly get into line and say fuck all…

McIlroy said nothing about Saudi human rights, he's actually defended people playing in Saudi Arabia if you did a quick search.

His problem was the liv tour and those trying to play on both tours.

Fair enough, he also defended people playing there.

There's a few articles saying his stance was softening in recent months

Maybes he knew what was on the horizon.

Still going to be difficult for those who spoke so vocally about it now to be ran by the very same people

I think the tours are staying the same by the wording, it's the commercial aspects that is being merged but it'll be 1 big company.

A lot of them turned down mega bucks to now have been bought off by the same people

Surely they're gonna feel like they've been sold down the river..could lead to a breakaway tour for these players? Obviously the money is going to be far far less. So will be interesting to see if their morals hold up After all...

Holy shit, LIV merging with the PGA Tour.

It was always going to happen, the PGA just thought that they could claim ownership of Golf and keep them at bay.

Not sure how you can say it was always going to happen when the entire golf world is stunned at the news.

They are only stunned because they had the ignorant belief that they were rich enough not to be threatened.
