Not telling the better folk here how to suck eggs, but here's my take on the website (and remembering to proof read - FFS)  -

I don't fore see any issues in this starting up, but for those who are 'the sites operators' what you need to remember is consistency, that is, updating the website on a regular basis, no matter who they are from.

The main problem with other websites is that in the 'start up' phase everyone is up for it and posts etc but then over a period of time people start to forget, do other things and generally websites become stagnant, with out of date information.

One thing to help is to 'plan' a yearly cycle, so like the clothing seasons, plan for a Christmas theme, a FA Cup theme, start of the season theme, something to keep people coming back in the closed season theme, you get the gist.

Then do a 'global' post to all members (if possible) that way you be able to get the attention of all members and get more of a responsive feedback from those who only come to the forum / webpage on a adhoc basis.

BTW, I'd only be happy to create some content (like an editorial note on a recent or related topic) as I used to do the like (back in the day) for the Alex's fanzine 'Super Dario Land' (those were the days).

Keeping it toon,

SCT.

Happy to help in any way I can. Worked in Marketing & E-Comm all my career, so can help with digital channels, copywriting, proof-reading, websites and UX, content creation and so on. I have a copywriting qualification, so do like putting together an article here and there.

Let me know what I can do, sounds like we have a good team assembling!

Anyone contributing would be welcome to use whatever name they wanted to. If I were to write an article, for instance, I'd probably just choose Yorkie. There's a fine line between replicating the anonymous nature of previous websites connected to N-O (which contributed to their success) and the 'appeal' of featuring names and characters. I've no interest in us having our very own Steve Wraith for eg but it's entirely up to those contributing how personal they make it.

BTW if anyone's already got the rumblings of an article already, feel free to PM it over.

Would happily be on a podcast if asked. Couldn't be a regular though, but I talk about NUFC 90% of my spare time so would be well up for doing it on a pod.

Be great to take one or two forum debates to a podcast.

Well this is currently sat doing very little https://anchor.fm/LMGOutcast and was mainly used for protest content. All sorts contributed and it is all ready across multiple hosting platforms. I did intend to contact the mag at some point about it although their output of late has been a bit sketchy. If we could do something with it with a committed few and someone willing to edit (I can) but yeah to all intents and purposes it’s all there to go. I’m sure others exist to be rebranded/adapted too.
