Could be really useful for the squad this.

A few players on the fringes need games under Eddieball. The likes of Murphy, Longstaff etc should be chomping at the bit.

If we got one of the few non league sides or a really struggling League 2 side at home I'd like to see 1 or 2 of the U23s given a run out; Remi Savage, Joe White, Anderson, Stephenson, Adam Wilson, Bondswell. Just literally 1 or 2 of those, would be far more intrigued seeing a couple of those lads than Krafth or Hendrick.

Who do we normally get , that’s how it works .

Are we wanting a cup run this year? EH focused solely on keeping us up , he can’t win here . I’d want to stay in but play the dregs of our squad at first .

2020/21 Arsenal (a) lost 0-2
2019/20 Rochdale (a) drew 1-1 (won replay)
2018/19 Blackburn Rovers (h) drew 1-1 (won replay)
2017/18 Luton Town (h) won 3-1
2016/17 Birmingham City (a) drew 1-1 (won replay)
2015/16 Watford (a) lost 0-1
2014/15 Leicester City (a) lost 0-1
2013/14 Cardiff City (h) lost 1-2
2012/13 Brighton and Hove Albion (a) lost 0-2
2011/12 Blackburn Rovers (h) won 2-1

I'd want us to get through. Winning breeds confidence no matter who you're playing and PL gameweeks are accommodated to the FA Cup up to the 6th Round, even though the 5th Rounds nowadays are midweek.

Someone shit at home please.

Fully expecting the usual which is

a) Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, Man City or Leicester - bonus points if there's only one or two all Prem ties and we inevitably end up in one

b) Strong Championship side play-offs or above away from home

c) Something really uninspiring like Watford away
