Some Argentine players I would like to target:

  • Alan Varela - Boca
    • Would fit perfectly into our system in a DM role
  • Ezequiel Fernández - Boca (on loan at Tigre)
    • Mouth watering prospect of having him and Varela at Boca this year.
  • Gianluca Prestianni - Velez
    • Same club as Perrone.
    • This kid is the business. Proper Wonderkid. Just maybe too young
  • Exequiel Zeballos - Boca
    • Recovering from horrific tackle/injury
    • This guy is Messi V2. His dribbling is off the charts.
    • Going to be breakout year for him. Love him !

Best centre half at World Cup

Josko Gvardiol - 20 year old Croatian defender

Would love him - think he’s at RB Leipzig

Monster Talent - probably valued at £60m now

I’ve also liked the look of

Portugal winger - Rafael Leao

23 year old at Ac Milan

huge price tag though ? £75m ??

Morocco midfielder

Sofyan Amrabat

CDM at Fiorentina

value £20m ?

Cody Gakpo -Psv

lots of clubs looking at him

Obviously a huge talent

valuation - £50/£60m ??

David Raum

German left back - RB Leipzig !!!!

£25m

great player , ideal for us

Gvardiol is being talked about as £75-80m starting bidding price.

“As The Athletic reported in August, talks broke down because Leipzig changed the asking price. Initial discussions started over a fee worth around €70million (£60.5million), which rose to €80m and finally €90m”.

Edit- rumours of a buy out clause in his  latest contract of £42m, but don’t know how true or realistic that is.

Whoever gets him are laughing for 10+ years for one of their central defensive positions.

Imagine him and Botman together- building a partnership up for multiple years

He's left footed too i think. Not that it's impossible to play with 2 lefties at CB.

Yes - left footed but as you mentioned , it could still work

I’ve seen lots of (both) right footed (centre half) partnerships over the years.

Either Way , having both in the squad would be incredible

Sounds like Sancho is wanting out of Man United. No idea how much they'd want for him (£5 a week or something?) but I'd love to see him play in a Howe team.

The issue with him is slightly more serious. I don't think he is moving to any club any time soon.

Sanchos wages are WELL out of our current price range (300k or 350k a week iirc?)

Guess it depends on if he thinks he'd get that from another club. If not, he might have to take a fraction of that otherwise he'll have to run his contract down.

He’s on £350kpw until 26/27 so it’ll be a while yet until it gets to the position where he’s thinking of running his contract down. Given that time, why would he go elsewhere for significantly less money?

He's either stuck at Man Utd not playing for 4 years making a killing, or he goes on a lesser deal elsewhere. Either is a good position for him.

He’ll be back playing at Man Utd before long, I’m sure. He’s obviously going through a tricky time, but I doubt his time there is finished.
