Sir Joel Inton
Thiaw should’ve started at RB tonight. We’ve been willing to play a midfielder there and Thiaw can actually play there. Shambolic from start to finish for him again tonight.

Yeah - and Thiaw at RB is incredibly limiting for our right side attack as virtually removes any threat of overlaps, underlaps and full back crosses. Let's just hope Miley is back soon. I like Tripps but he can't cope with the pace of the PL any more. He was lucky he didn't concede the pen as well.
Maggies
Whoever decided no replacement was needed in January should hang their head in shame. Yes, Trippier was shit today. But not his fault he’s being asked to start every few days. He’s been wanting to be away and wind down for at least 18 months now.

Mike
Can't play more than once a week at best.
RS
Beardsley went exactly the same way in the space of a season. From holding his own to looking out of place in a PL team. Great few seasons off the man but his numbers now up.

Stottie
Painful to watch. Costly too. I thought his grab early doors was probably a pen too.
The Butcher
Best RB I've seen at the club and one of the best players we've had in my lifetime full stop. But he's one of quite a few we've held on to for too long.

Painful thing is this was so obvious. 3 first team fullbacks. 1 is 35. Recipe for disaster. It’s such bad squad building and management. It was a major risk in August, it’s outright criminal in January.
The College Dropout
I think he could be good/great for 70-80 minutes once a week. But he cannot be expected to start multiple games in a week coming up against fast and strong wingers with a weeks rest. It’s killing us.
Memphis
No more, please.
Guybrush
Some suicidal passes across the face of goal today. One thing that was funny was him going over to watch the var review under the pretense of just grabbing a drink that happened to be nearby. Linesman tried to shoo him off, but that man and his beverage stayed and watched the whole thing.

Kid Icarus
He's a legend, it's hard seeing him fading when you know what he was capable of.
ChrisMcQuillan
Still reckon he could play at the top level once a week. This schedule is not for him, though.

John P
Just play Murphy or Thiaw at right back until Miley or Tino are fit, Trippier is done
GeordieT
As it happens saw earlier today a Gary Neville clip talking about his performance against WBA which led to him retiring. Simply had a nightmare of a half, got subbed - said it made him realise he wasn't up to it anymore and had to retire. Parallels with today’s game. Trippier has been a wonderful servant but he’s labouring now. If he wants to continue playing unfortunately it can’t be here.
Holloway
I was at Keegan's moment of realisation when he got skinned by someone v Liverpool, it may even have been Lawro Kev recalled it later, said he knew the game was up
AyeDubbleYoo
He struggles at times but putting Murphy in front of him is also embarrassing. Has to be one of the most error-prone right sides in the league.
