Kieran Trippier (now playing for Wolves)

Looked like he was playing against us at times today, i really appreciate that for a player probably on his last few months of playing at this level we've over-used him but really hope we can give him some rest very soon.

Let’s pray that Tino’s return schedule doesn’t get pushed out. Early march isn’t that far away.

Slows us down so much when he has the ball. Doesn't help that the rest of the team play passes for him to run onto like he's prime peak Kyle Walker though

Got lucky with the Watkins foul IMO.

Desperately want him to navigate these last handful of games as best he can before getting a fond farewell. Doesn't deserve to have his legacy tarnished by this brutal run of games where he's being flogged to death because of our injury situation.

Despite his slowing pace and today's poor distribution he is an important leader for us like and most likely had been instrumental with the leadership team this week in intervening and getting the players' collective heads out their arses. There's something to be said for that role at the club - especially now Lascelles has left.

What he did for Sandro in that interview - protecting him from having his words misinterpreted and then going on to tell some home truths on the refereeing and the stance on Howe was fantastic.

I thought his dead ball delivery was good but otherwise it was more of the same unfortunately. I don't blame him I blame father time and the fact that a blindingly obvious need wasn't addressed by the recruitment team during the January transfer window. He can still just about do a job if not expected to play more than 90 minutes a week. The current schedule would ruin a RB in his prime let alone one at the end of his career.

He knows he is no longer good enough himself but he tried his best because we have no one left. I know it’s painful to watch but you still need to appreciate his effort. Mad respect from me. He is dying for the club

The best Right back we've had at Newcastle in all the time I've been going to the matches (34 years).

He was the most important signing this club has ever made, just after the takeover. In January 2022 he was the player that raised the standard of the squad.

A proper leader on and off the field.

Him and Eddie having a little chinwag like comrades in the trenches when applauding our lot at the end of the game and then Trips giving Eddie big love in the post match presser. “I’ve known him more than half my life” or summat similar to that, not gonna lie it moved me.

Arguably one of our most important signings of all time. I’d be buzzing if he went on to play a valuable role at the club when his playing career is over.

I couldn’t work that out. What was Sandro trying to say?

I mean he didn't really make enough of a coherent sentence because he was trying to think of what to say in a second language. I felt he understood the question but was trying to diplomatically say "No - the decisions were shite" but in such a way that wouldn't see him reprimanded.

Despite the errors that have crept into his game, he sure is proving his fitness at 35

I must admit I've changed my mind on him a couple of times this season. Initially I thought he was fine as a back up, but recently he's been exposed for pace and I thought he was done. But the last couple of games he's used his positioning to negate any physical deficiencies, and his football and leadership have been outstanding. Howe proven right again.
