Call it stupid if you want, but their player awkwardly stretches out his leg around the same moment as Bruno goes for the tackle. Whole thing just looks weird. Just unlucky. No malice nor clumsiness to it imo.

Now he can rest a bit.

Aye this. No one would have said that's a red looking at it in real time. Some on here were saying a yellow was harsh.

Just happy he's back for the final!

Maybe we can get it reduced to a game. Wouldn't really care if he only misses one.

Is it worth the risk of appealing when they can throw on another match ban?

We play Liverpool in the 3rd game, if it’s a 3 game ban, it’s not getting overturned.

Missing 3 games is fucking tragic. However it's not as bad as I was thinking he was out of the final.

But fuck man, he is the one player we just can't afford to lose. Gutted. 3 games for a slight mistimed tackle seems incredibly harsh. You could see the lad turned his foot at the last second which caused the contact.

 Wow. Bit harsh no?

Not harsh at all.  It was fucking idiocy.  Love Bruno to bits but that was like watching Gascogne in the ‘91 FA Cup Final for a spell in the second half.  Love the lad’s spirit, but sometimes he just needs to calm down a little.

Blessing in disguise.

Think he can do with a rest since he turned his ankle. He will be firing for the final vs Casemiro.

however I do think if the ref managed the game better, yellows would have been given to Southampton in the first half which would have kept him in better control.

love you Bruno

VAR had it down as serious foul play, which is a 1 game ban. I think 3 game bans are for violent conduct.

Could be wrong. Probably am

The tackle is just one of those things - no malice, mistimed; if it's a split second earlier his foot just catches their player's toe at worst.

Not going to berate him for it, or the niggly fouls before that. If you take away the aggressive side of his game, you kill him as a midfielder.

Lost his head after not getting a foul off the ref.

Hope none of our next 3 get some random postponement.

Like if the PL/ FA wanted to postpone the Liverpool game to allow them more rest for the CL.

Watch the replay angle again, Brunos foot leaves the same moment as the Southampton players. It’s pure unluck. Bruno can’t redirection is challenge at that point. Stuff like this happens. Clear red, but calling our best player on the pitch tonight for 45minutes (the other 45 minutes our team was nonexistent) is very harsh. Enjoy the fact that we are in a final instead.
