Argus
Visiting to see Newcastle play on a Saturday, 12.30 KO. Any suggestions (other than visit the pub) of things to do / see after the game until early evening (and then it's food and pubs!). madras
Pubs, food, pubs or Pubs, pubs, food is usual. If you are still here for the Sunday morning the Quayside market and walks over the bridges can be good for bri ging you round, as is Tynemouth market and Tynemouth itself. If you really want to go for it do probably the best bit of the Wall taking in Steel rigg and Sycamore gap but you'll need to drive. Also worth checking when the Castle keep is open, it's licensed and the guides are full of knowledge. Edited March 23 by madras

madras
If you walk over the Tyne Bridge then swing left towards the millennium bridge you can have a look into the sage and baltic, down the Newcastle side of the Quayside over the swing bridge and back to the Newcastle side on the High Level. Plenty of places to stop for a drink or two if you don't want too much before the night.
LFEE
Pop into the Back Page shop not far from China Town, just down from the Irish Centre so close to ground. https://www.backpagenewcastle.com Depending on the dates book a tour of the underground tunnels of Newcastle. https://www.ouseburntrust.org.uk/visit-vt
neesy111
Recommend Backpage, a friend dad has just started working there. Edited March 23 by neesy111
BlueStar
If you want some kind of cheesy activity to break up the pubbing and the good local culture suggestions so far, by the Gate in the city centre (which is also near Back page) there's a space themed mini golf course https://mrmulligan.com/newcastle And next to that a laser shooting gallery thing https://www.pointblankshooting.co.uk/

We had my boy’s after season footy presentation there just before Xmas and it was class, the kids loved it and upstairs there was a lively atmosphere for the adults. HTT II
For a real experience of Newcastle, find a horse and punch it spark out and then punch up a phone box. Then head to the Black Garter and experience the sensation of sticky piss on your soles, it’s actually good for the soul.

We used to clean the offices behind there and I regularly used to bang wor lass (from behind) in full view of onlookers working upstairs in the Laing Art Gallery. We eventually lost the contract, but were never told why, I obviously know the real reason… Edited March 23 by HTT II
