Rigg is ours in the summer. Will go on to be a legend here.

Aye we need to get him bought. Him and his Dad are NUFC fans but his brother supports Sunlun. Interesting dynamic.

To be fair to the scruffs they did play well in what I saw of the second half. Amazing moment for the young lad to score but it was miles offside.

Also, its one thing to play well in a one off game, its quite another to do it consistently over 38 games in the premiership (:bluestar:)

Gutting for him. Probably ends any hope of a big move in the summer for him.

Ruptured achilles probably worse than an ACL these days. Probably not be back until a couple of months into next season at the earliest.

Be interesting to see how they deal with his contract situation

Aye, achilles are a bastard of an injury, happens in the NFL and players are rarely quite the same after. If this was one of our players, there'd be a 40 page thread celebrating it on RTG by now.

Aye but we're better than that.

They can probably get by playing that Diallo up front with Roberts, Clarke and Geldhart supporting him. Think they’ve got a fighting chance of going up from what I’ve seen, though losing your main scorer for the run in will most likely catch up with them.

No chance without Stewart if we don’t get a replacement.

Looks a bad one, we’ve been hammered with injuries this season.

Injuries are part and parcel of the game and they're always going to happen. It's obviously shit for Stewart on a personal level but no club goes a season avoiding any injuries, it's about the squad and how it copes. They're not going to be asked to play with 10 men for the rest of the season

Lee Clarke for us and he never let them down on the pitch.

True, it's been much of a muchness both ways to be honest... seems quite common and the history of football in the north east is rich. We have produced some real talent, shame about some thinking on Gazza here mainly but the North East does not get the credit it deserves
