But seat geeks is a reseller site, that's really not a good look or they have some integration with them....

I think they're involved in some way with the platfotm we currently use. I was talking to a lad that works for them the other week and they've been our partner for a while.

It is a slight conflict of interest that the platform that provides our ticketing back end also runs a reseller website that is involved in legal football ticket transfers. But maybe they all are I guess.

Edit: actually do they sell tickets in the UK at all? Can't find a UK reseller site run by them.

I’ve done my ankle falling off a table at Oktoberfest. Anybody with a ticket fancy standing in the corner tonight? We can just swap the details of the ticket without forwarding (you can use at any turnstile), and I’m happy to go anywhere, including level seven

Maybe it’s because I’m a ticket nonce and therefore more tuned into it, but it does feel like there a groundswell of press activity at the moment highlighting nefarious football touting activity.

Which makes me think there’s enough pissed off fans at enough clubs to give the journos a reason to publish stories and generate the clicks they need.

Anyone else get an invite to the Ticketing Workshop ?

After the amount of shit I've given NUFC ticketing I have visions of walking into the room thinking I'm becoming a made man but then getting whacked liked Tommy in Goodfellas.

I haven't myself but did go to the ballot workshop in February last year. Be prepared to hear some of the most backward, terrible ideas from unmitigated bellwhiffs.

Aye, think I remember reading your post-meeting commentary at the time. It was either that or the Match Atmosphere one someone else went to. Either way, the ideas being proposed were insane.

I have serious doubts about whether I can face going. I've got zero patience for something like that. I only put my name into the hat so I could complain about not being invited.

Ticketing question....

I've been forwarded a ticket for Man City at home off another member (I was unsuccessful in the ballot). I've already downloaded it into my Google wallet but there's now a chance that I might not make the game. I've still got the email so can I forward that email onto someone else and they can you it to download it onto their phone and use it instead? Obviously I'll remove it from my wallet but was wondering if it can only be downloaded once.

Don’t think it should be a problem.

The only slight note of caution would be it seems the club are increasingly aware of people using tickets that don’t belong to them, and are asking for ID at the turnstile.

Not entirely sure how they’re becoming aware of these tickets, probably through monitoring resale sites and SM, but I do wonder if tickets being downloaded multiple times flags anything? Probably not like.

Cheers mate was actually going to tag you into my post cos you seem pretty clued up on this. Didn't want to pass the ticket on and for it to flash red and them to be denied entry. Obviously if you are going in with a ticket under a different name I suppose you've got to understand that there's that slight risk of an ID check which is fair enough. Still hopeful I can make the game anyway.

Remembering back it felt good being able to vent at how shit the system is to someone at the club regardless of how much of a ticky box it exercise it is.

Spoke to the supporter liaison officer, Matt Willis, after the event finished and he fully understood the craic and my own frustrations with the 23-24 100% ballot for home games system. He was one of the ones who suggested part ballot and part general sale as well. Really good bloke like, also know he followed us home and away on the regular before working for the cloob.

What I would recommend going forward to you (and others doing similar) is to not rush to put ticket into wallet until you know you are definitely going to the game. Rather than add and remove.

Tbf that's what I used to do but the last couple of times I've left it late I've had reminder emails off them telling me to put it in my wallet and with accounts being blocked/monitored for being suspected touts I got a bit jumpy and put it in straight away!

Which shows they are monitoring. Don’t let them pressure you until ready. Your device after all.
