Saw this on Twitter from a mackem ahead of their game at Man City tomorrow.

 

Seems a far more sensible way of going about implementing checks compared to the turnstile roulette we employ.

Genuine question but once a parent and their young'un (now too old) move on from the family section who do they reallocate those seats to? And isn't it hard to find those moving on seats elsewhere these days? When me and my young'un moved out of there we could take our pick but times have changed.

I don’t think they move them out, they still keep those seats even though they’re officially too old. So you’ve got late teens / early 20’s up there with their parents.

 

That’s what people on here who go in L7 have said.

You'd think they'd keep an eye on that sort of thing considering the current demand. We used to sit up there next to a bloke with his son. After we moved out, his son moved into the Gallowgate with his mates but the father stayed up there, alone, for a good few years after that.

Looks like this happened to a few, queue for box office was massive before the game.

Currently much easier and a lot less hassle to get a ticket in the days before the game than it is to piss about in the 10am sales. Ain’t no denying.

Currently sat on a train which gets into Newcastle at 1pm. Was slightly tempted to get a ticket so had a look and there's loads available, £52 in the Gallowgate and £65 in the East Stand. Don't think I'm going to bother though.

Likely due to me being extremely modest and handsome but sometimes I just can't be arsed with the 'who the fuck is this look' when you take a season ticket holder friend's seat. 

 

Granted the vast majority of the time its fine, but still had far too many interrogations over "taking" someone's seat.

Not recently, I’ve seen a few pairs for the Leeds game and also spied a threesome yesterday 

 

I don’t think I’d ever seen a threesome before then 

 

I would have bought them for the sense of achievement, but I don’t have two friends

 I mean if you fail in the ballot and general sale, it doesn’t mean you can drop everything on game day hoping for a resale ticket.
