It's a very different transfer strategy, isn't it?

"A different potential, maybe from the money they can spend. But they have different targets and you have to have money to do this."

No more educational advantage for Southampton?

Or we could just play ASM in his best position on the left instead of Murphy. Would probably make sense given he’s about ten times the player.

Who would be our proper defensive midfield player? We’d have to play five at the back to accommodate another attacking midfield player.

Since day one Howe hasn’t dropped a player in form for a player everyone else presumes should be a starter. ASM has 30 minutes under his belt after a hefty layoff and Murphy has actually been quite effective. Fully expect Murphy to start. What sort of message does it send to the players that have played well only to get dropped at the first sniff.  Getting a result at the weekend isn’t dependant on ASM starting, trust in Eddie.

But Murphy did get dropped/rotated, he hasn’t started the last 2 games. If maxi is fit enough to start then he starts above Murphy every time imo.

Wouldn't be too annoyed if Murphy starts especially given his recent form. Who would have imagined that after the cup game? ASM would be a great option off the bench against tiring legs and give us a boost if we are chasing a goal. No chance he will be fully match fit after just returning.

Lets batter these twats.

Matt Le Cunt scored some worldies against us back in the 90’s and the fucking anti-vax wanker needs to taste the pain of a high press injection as Eddie unleashes a massive dose of intensity is our identity straight into his covid-hoax veins

Not overly worried about anyone we play these days but I’ll be as tense before this as would playing any of the top sides.

It’s a weird season so far. Some underperforming sides who should be up where we are.

But some of the draws we’ve had should have been 3 points. And our only loss was a fiasco with that extra 3/4 mins of stoppage time. There’s a case to be made that if officiating was less rubbish we could be on similar points to Arsenal and City right now.

I mean, if we turn up one day and play crap and lose, I won't be too worried. We used to do that 9 games out of 10 less than a year or so ago - so far our worst performances this season have got us a few slightly ropey draws. If that's been the nadir as you move into November then you can't worry too much about a shit performance and result too much surely.
