What is Henderson doing getting an England start these days? I’ve always given him a lot of credit up until the past couple of years but what does he offer now? He’s not mobile, he can’t dribble, he’s a poor striker of the ball and he’s already played several poor passes. All he offers is a ton of effort and a lot of running and keeping shape

Continuation from the first two matches for the US. Started with great energy and pace, but need more goal threat and need to take advantage of their early superiority because Iran are solid and will be more dangerous once the US counterpress tires. Would be nice to have a player that can win an aerial duel, it that is this Wright boy, then so be it.

I’m liking this 4-3-3. Barely laid a glove like but the options are there, quite like Bellingham given a bit of freedom but really think it should be Maddison if fit instead of Hendo.
