Felt a little bad for him in a way as he didn't seem in a condition at all to be interviewed. Hardly looks like the same person in the interview compared to the picture in the tweet above. The empathy doesn't stretch very far as I'm sure he had the same beliefs before too, but was present enough to not say those beliefs out loud. The journalists/interviewers are definitely taking advantage of him though. Aye, my heart truly bleeds for the poor, bigoted, drug-addled cunt. soyt
Quote Grandson of a California lawmaker Aldrich is the grandson of outgoing California Assemblyman Randy Voepel, according to social media reports and CNN interviews. Voepel, who has served as a state lawmaker since 2016, lost his re-election bid earlier this month. He could not be reached for comment. It’s unclear how much Voepel, the father of Aldrich’s mother, interacted with his grandson. As a lawmaker, Voepel attracted attention when he compared the January 6 attack on the US Capitol to the Revolutionary War. “This is Lexington and Concord. First shots fired against tyranny,” he said, according to The San Diego Union Tribune. “Tyranny will follow in the aftermath of the Biden swear in on January 20th.” Voepel later tried to walk back his comments by tweeting a statement which read in part, “I do not condone or support the violence and lawlessness that took place on Wednesday, January 6th, at our nation’s capital. The loss of life, theft of government property, and blatant disregard for law and order is reprehensible and unnecessary.”

thomas
A horrible upbringing and life produced a horrible man, who passed it on to his son who committed unspeakable evil. Yes there are many tragedies along the timeline building up to the biggest tragedy last week but i'm sorry "the press taking advantage of him" is the one least deserving of attention. Sorry, let me know what the correct priority list is next time so I don't have to waste time commenting on something that is not deemed important enough to warrant being posted on N-O will you? Conjo
I think people regardless of how horrible they are should be treated with integrity and the care they need if they need help. The original post I responded to was about this specific person, who is clearly not well, so I posted something relevant for that person rather than victims, family or his son. If it isn't worth discussing then ignore the post and don't make a big deal out of it? Unless of course you think it is ok for journalists to interview people with mental & drug problems making fools of themselves in general.

Mike
Quote Rhodes faces a maximum sentence of 60 years on all charges for which he was convicted, including 20 years for the seditious conspiracy count. Meggs faces an 86-year maximum sentence, Watkins faces 56 years, Harrelson faces 46 years, and Caldwell faces 40 years. Defendants are typically sentenced according to federal sentencing guidelines, which can result in terms well below the maximum.
