Another question for those who properly remember the Keegan days

The Keegan days came before I was old enough to really appreciate how good/bad footballers are/were, but I have often wondered the following:

If Given was our goalkeeper in the 95/96 season, would we have won the league?

Bollocks if Huckerby had been played for Gillespie when he got injured in the Man utd away game then yes ...possibly

Probably, Given is better than Pav and Hislop was back then, I think he might have made a difference in some of the crucial games.  Turning the Man U game at home into anything other than a defeat and we would have won the league.

Too many other variables, but I doubt it. They just went on a fantastic run they're given no credit for, but it sounds better for the media to suggest we threw away a 12 point lead. We should have thrashed them at our place and that was the game that gave them heart.

Can someone tell me which season was when we lost to Man Utd 0:1 at home.

When Cantona scored with his right foot in the penalty area and then Schmeichel made fantastic save on Ferdinand shot with one hand.Which season was this 94/95 or 95/96

I think it was 95/96 but im not sure

Shay AND Woodgate and we'd have walked it IMO.

Woodgate & Albert, that would probably go down as our classiest centre of defence.

Without a doubt, KK would have creamed himself with that pairing.

Shay would never have let in the Collymore winner at his near post in the 4-3.

I agree and he wouldn't have let in either of Fentons strikes at Ewood, which was the straw that broke the camels back IMO.

Flowers was mint that game as well. :(
