 I loved that show as a kid. I was too dumb to realize how dumb the premise was. A white ninja and his son travel around and solve crimes.

And how it was done, Van Cleef could barely walk then a jump cut to him doing Mary Lou Retton style acrobatics.

I must be the only one thinking he was pretty average yesterday? Personally I think he's got some pretty big flaws in his game but thankfully he's got a lot of very good aspects as well.

Obviously playing at LB means he seems less helpful in attacking positions so I can't hold that against him but he's a very hesitant defender and this isn't something that he seems to have got any better at over the last year or so.

You’re not the only one. Defensively I feel he’s elite but with the ball I don’t think he’s very good at all. If he wants to be regarded as a solid modern full back and play regularly for England he has to improve on his flaws.

He’s much better with the ball in attack on the left over the right based on his career with us but I remember him being quality at attacking on the right with Southampton. It’s all going to come together for him on the offensive side this season. He’s an excellent ball carrier, just needs to improve his crossing, passing and decision making in the final third

Have people not watched any one else in the Premier Legue for the last few years, McGinn has his limitations but one of his strengths is his physicality and effective shielding of the ball, he has embarrassed much more experienced full backs than Livramento in that regard, especially during Villa's CL campaign last year. I think anyone critiquing Livramento defensively yesterday is being overly harsh in my option.

Not very good at all on the ball? Que? Was excellent going forward last season, particularly at LB.

Correct

Thought he was very good yesterday, it was weird of Emery to think McGinn can cause him problems.

As above really. Do you not remember when Villa beat us 3-0 3yr ago approximately (?) one Saturday lunchtime? They put McGinn on Burn when he was playing LB at the time and even Burn struggled physically.
