Really early obviously and we'll not know until it's been scanned etc. But the fact he got up and continued playing for a few minutes would suggest it's not massively serious. Fully aware it can still be serious and he's able to limp on, I'm trying to be positive. When he went down for the second time he didn't look in absolute agony either, looked pissed off and knew he was coming off but not thumping the ground in pain etc. Fingers crossed for him it's not as bad as we all fear.

Also need Hall to get back asap, it's just one thing after another atm, Hall is gradually introduced again then Tino gets carried off. Just can't seem to catch a break

didn’t Botman play on for a while with his?

So trips and Hall with no rotation options going forward without a formation change?

Targett going was the right decision but is it alex Murphy or burn on the left to cover hall and kraft for trips?

So gutted for the team losing 3 already this early in the season and for Tino been one of our better performers. Fingers crossed its not too serious as Jan window still a while away.

Just saw the challenge, the league should be looking to stop these mid air challenges and giving a right of way to players in the air, there's going to end up a player landing on their neck one day and claims of no one ever saw this coming, while it's been going on for years.

1 serious fullback injury, and we are already left with just Hall coming back from a long spell, a 35y old Trippier, a 2m tall 33y old CB, and Krafth, as the options.. In a 2 game per week season.

Can u post the link of video of the injury? Couldn't find the footage on X or the extended highlights.

Gutted he might be out for a while. He is such a consistent and dependable performer so a huge loss for us

But it appears he was holding his left leg, not the leg that jarred on the ground. I'm naively hoping the impact on his previously knackered knee caused some minor injury rather than it being a full ACLer.

Yea, that would be ideal for sure.

I am not sure if he injured his right or left leg. Yes he seems to have twisted his right knee when planting on the ground but I won't be surprised if it is his left knee that was injured. Saliba bumped his left lower leg forcefully from the outside, putting much tension on the inner structures like the MCL of that knee. Anyway, we will find out soon how long he will be out. Hopefully it is not as bad as it looks.

I do believe retroactive punishment should be introduced into the league, if you injure another player seriouly, no matter how it looks, you should get a 5-10 game ban decided by an impartial tribunal taking into consideration the severity of the injury etc. Even if the challenge seems fair, if you cause another player serious injury, there needs to be a consequence. You can't just end someone's career and get away with it, it's not ethical, regardless of any mitigating factors.

We really need a lucky break here with Tino, hopefully it’s a case of slight twinge and giving his past he didn’t feel comfortable to risk it. Swelling down and he’s good to go after international break (and a nice rest for him as he’s not called up).

Can ride out next two games with Trippier starting, with Hall back, but if we have to go up to mid January (before we can buy) with Trippier starting every game or Krafth coming in rotation, we’re so unbelievable fucked.

The usual caveat that I’m not an elite athlete. But after the ops I’ve had in my knee. I would often get worried that it had gone again when playing. Only for it to just be a slight twinge or something minor.  Particularly after the first op. Which was ACL/LCL and a tendon.

I think the nerves are more sensitive because of the scar tissue? Something like that, anyway.

It was odd that it was his left leg he was holding. As it was the right leg that jarred. So not sure where the injury actually occurred?

It clearly doesn’t look good though. His teammates all looked a bit worried and made a point to come over to support and comfort him.

Honestly happy with Trips and Kraft coming in. We've got a good squad. Obvs Tino is far superior, but th drop off isn't managed providing they don't run trips into the ground and Kraft actually gets some time. Kraft is a very underrated.

I don't mind Krafth, do think Trippier is very close to being done though. No way he has is it him to play twice a week atleast.

You mean even if the player hasn't intended any harm and has performed a legal challenge? That's absolutely crazy.
