As a side comment

Looks a better left back than right.

I've thought this since the end of last season. Genuinely wonder if it's the same sort of deal as Ronnie O'Sullivan playing left handed to help himself concentrate. Think he stays way more switched on when playing on the left.

Wonder if it's because he has to concentrate on the contact more, his first time crossing in particular is excellent.

The technique is entirely different from what i've seen. The right footed crosses look flat and overly fast. The left foot crosses have a nice loop at decent pace. Dinked with pace.

This makes no sense to me, surely he had an MRI and he can confirm or not if it’s an ACL.

Swelling can sometimes impact clarity and therefore full diagnosis. Also what’s the issue waiting until they know for certain before releasing details? I mean we’ll know in due course anyway.

Don't shoot the messenger, but apparently Dr Chopitoff is booked in at the Nuffield to carry out a left leg amputation later this week

I'd rather be dead in that situation.

I mean more the injury itself. I'd get it if it was the leg he landed on, but he's done in the one he didn't land on and was injured mid-air.

Took a strong side-on impact when his leg was in a relaxed state, not supported by muscles. Made me cringe watching it. Was it Saliba?

Here’s hoping you’re never faced with it then. I was given that prognosis from some fuckwit surgeon at the Nuffield but thankfully seeking help at another hospital (James Cook) three operations, a bone graft, a bone stimulator and a different kind of external fixator did the trick in the end.

It was Saliba. The knee is a hinge joint mostly allowing bending and straightening with some give for little bit of rotation, a full-on impact from the side while the knee is straight put lots of strain on the ligaments of the knee.

There was a few times when I was grinding with lasses on the dancefloor at Dontino's that I struggled with my clarity due to swelling
