Do think he'll end up at citeh next season. Seems like we're going to struggle for a while to keep our best players. Hopefully we handle it better than isak (including the player)

I'd be delighted to see him and hall sign new deals, think hall will, not so sure on tino.

We should get both new contracts asap especially Hall. He’s still under the radar.

Tino he should’ve got a new contract after his first season tbh. It might already be too late to secure his future at the club as you indicate.

Just a gut feeling but I think Tino and Hall will sign new deals. They both seem like level-headed lads who are enjoying their football here and working under Eddie.

If we offer the right terms (that doesn't have to be stupid money, but a sensible deal) I think they'll stay on. We've just got to learn from the summer and make sure we get the timing/approach right.

For Tino it’s the fact he moonwalks into the City, Liverpool and Man U teams.

It’s a common sense £60-70m for City they should’ve done last summer. This Nunes at RB thing doesn’t make sense.

Why would we accept such a low fee.

It's common sense for City not common sense for us. Tino should be the last name up for this debate and it's getting tiring discussing players leaving every time we start to rely on them. Not everyone is an arsehole like our last sale.

I don’t really know about the price. But how much are we realistically going to get for a fullback? 2 years left at the end of the Season too.

We renew him. If we are forced to sell because he won't renew then less than 70m would be really bad.

If we don’t get him tied down on a new deal by season end and he goes off to England World Cup camp, we’ll need to prepare for the worse. Won’t just be Man City who are after him when he has 2 years left and low wages to raise up.

Need to nip it in the bud quick. Rather we signed no-one in January if it meant we prioritised new deals for players so we are then able to evaluate what the room is to buy in Summer / who needs to be sold. Because Tino / Hall to name two are more key to our future then signing whoever in January.

It's not him that should be turning it down.

Nor will it be. I know you mean we should reject it, but from the looks of it, his Da basically manages his career.

I think so long as we're progressing and showing love for Tino, there's every chance he'll extend. Of course we'd have to shell out more money, but he's worth it.

  • 2 weeks later...

Love him as a defender, I really do.

I thought often his final ball was lacking last night.

If more of our build up play had been down the left and it was Hall crossing/passing the ball I think we’d have got more joy.

Slightly concerned that we're going to run him into the ground again by playing him every single game due to the lack of adequate quality to replace him at right back. We really need better back-up options in both full-back positions in January

If we don't keep him then it's going to make Hopkinson look like an idiot after his comments last week. Not just that but it would also say he hasn't got a clue about the club; you can't be building up false hopes when the club means so much to some people.

I mean, Trippier will be available to rotate with him in a couple of weeks.

Defensively he's superb, still leaves a lot to be desired going forward.

Which is why I don’t see the City move. If O’Reilly is City’s left back I think they would want a more Lewis Hall style player at right back.
