Mole
It's definitely not the same strategy at all, you only have to look at the names of the players we are linked with to see that. They'll be occasions where we are beaten to signings by the usual teams because they want good players too and that's just life. But idk how you can look at the reports and think this is the same approach as last summer.

I’m not seeing it tbh - we look like we’re chasing reasonably priced talent from the continent, last year we were chasing overpriced PL players We’ll know by the end of the window of course, but so far it looks like ‘lessons learned’ to me
Nobody
The three players we've been properly linked with this summer so far (this lad, Yohanna and Jaouen) certainly doesn't seem like anything we tried to do last summer like.

With the way we went about it which doesn't fill you with confidence in getting these deals done quickly. Honestly man, those goons. I’d discount every word they say, genuinely. One of them did his YouTube video with his kite out the other day. They’re absolutely playing at it, and the word ‘journo’ is doing some seriously heavy lifting in their channel title. clowns, all 3 of them. Nobody
I just assumed 'Geordie journos' were the likes of Ryder, Hope et all, but now I'm guessing it's just a bunch of random podcasters/YouTubers?

A strategy is two sets of activities chosen to fulfil your mission: things you do, and things you don’t do. For example, last summer we didn’t make big sales early (which we have very clearly chosen to do this summer) or (as far as we know) attempt to sign any young, relatively inexperienced players from other leagues (which we are just about to do). You say that, but if you ignore the facts and focus entirely on what 3 blatant grifters have said on the internet for attention then you could say that the negative people are right to be worried

Skeletor
We had a strategy last year? Thought it was just sign anyone who's left after everyone else had feasted?
