Chelsea Dressing Room Secret

Ok Delima can now reveal the secret seating of Chelsea dressing room.

Chelsea dressing room has always been a forbidden place for the media because the seating of players can reveal a lot about the internal relationships between the players. There is a famous joke about Newcastle United share price and the dressing room turbulence. After the day Ruud Gullit had a row with Shearer, the share drops significantly the next day. So as the day after Shearer had a fight with Bellamy in the dressing room.

In the past 3 years there have been 2 major refurbishments of Chelsea dressing room. When Ranielli was the manager, there wasn't any "Manager Office". But since Mourinho arrive a room has been built upon his demand. During 2005 summer, the dressing room was extended again.

Between the Information Room and the Treatment Room, there is a conference space specifically used to for the pre match and half time talk. Mourinho does not like to speak to the players sitting infront of their wardrope scattered around the dressing room (the one you see in Big Ron Manager, Celebrity vs Legend, France 98 semi final + final leaked video etc).

Contrary to popular belief, Mourinho's speech is alway brief and precise, hardly lasting longer than 5 minutes, concentrating on 1 or 2 issues. He knows that the players in general won't be interested in specific instructions to specific players. So he would summon individual players to his office from time to time for specific tactical instructions (eg Ashley Cole needs to be aware of Aaron Lennon cutting inside).

The arrangement of the players' wardrobes reveal a lot about the dressing room secrets and harmony (or lack of), thus no journalists would be allowed to enter there. Such information can be easily used to decode the abounding rumours.

All 22 players always use the same sitting in home, away and training matches. Everyday a player goes into the dressing room to change, then resting and chatting, then training or competing, then showering and changing again. Dressing room life is takes a bulky place in a player's life, so we can know easily by the sittings who are close to who.

On the right next to the corridor, you have Cudicini (the outermost), then Cech, then Hilario. Turning left, you have Calvalho, Ferreira and Tiago, the three Portugese musketeers Mourinho brought in with him from Porto. In exchange for first team football, Tiago volunteered himself as bait to seduce Essien here. The Portugese camaderie is there to see.

On the right of Ferreira, you have Schevchenko. Further right in sequence, Diarra and Essien. Another turn to the left, next to Essien's, you have Makelele, Mikel, Drogba and Geremi. Pity Shevchenko, sandwiched between Portugese mafia and African gangsters. To the right of Geremi, skipping two empty wardrobes, is Saloman Kalou, then Ballack, then Robben, tehn Boularouz. Netherland and Germany are both Germanic countries. Kalou was denied a chance to play for Netherland in the World Cup, but perhaps in heart he is more Dutch then African.

Right next to Boularouz are Joe Cole and Ashely Cole. A white and a black, a West Ham youth product and and Arsenal youth product, they are only hi and bye friends. Another turn to the left, you will see the other 4 English finally. Lampard, Terry, Wright-Phillip and Bridge. Lampard only moved his playe in summer 2005. And is it coincidence that Wright-Phillip and Bridge, two unappreciated mercenaries, are seated together?

There are 6 Englishmen in the dressing room, but only Lampard and Terry can be counted as the pillar of the club.

What would happen to all these players if Mourinho isn't here?

and how could he been used for bait? Tiago went to lyon when essien came from lyon. They have never played fro the same team before

Wasn't Tiago sold to Lyon as Essiens replacement, a day after, as in part of the deal (not quite, but a gentleman's agreement) or am i thinking of someone else?
