Guest makemeacupoftea
Just when it seemed winter would never end, here is something to brighten up your day. V Festival is back for some annual merrymaking and what a line up we’ve got for you. In addition to the main players The Killers, Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol – also announced today are: Festival favourites Kasabian, party starter Pink, indie rockers James, legendary dance duo Basement Jaxx and Brighton pop entities The Kooks. Plus, BRIT award winner Amy Winehouse, Welsh group Manic Street Preachers, British Breakthrough Act BRIT winners The Fratellis, 2007 ‘Godlike Genius’ NME award holders Primal Scream and mesmerising singer songwriter Damien Rice. Also, Britrock outfit Babyshambles, alternative Manchester group, Happy Mondays, Scottish hit Paolo Nutini, indie four piece Editors and Grammy nominated KT Tunstall. Finally, chart topper Mika, soulful solo artist James Morrison, dance floor queen Sophie Ellis Bextor, US digital sensations The Fray, celebrated return act The Proclaimers and last but by no means least, platinum selling act The Goo Goo Dolls have been signed up. http://www.vfestival.com/ how mint is that! Disco
cheers mate. Too many acts where'd you'd just stand around too for me at V (lily allen, morrison, rice, nutini etc.) aimed at more of an older audience i think to.
SEMTEX
thats a pretty decent line-up. Pretty crappy how the world thinks the Killers are better than most of those other bands.
geordie_b
T in the park is far better!
SEMTEX
its practically the same!
geordie_b
but without Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party etc etc Plus i have T tickets so its obviously the best!
SEMTEX
they each have pros and cons. i.e. weather is more likely to be better, t is longer i think (could be a pro or a con) and t has more bands. lets all just get along
colinmk
but without Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party etc etc Plus i have T tickets so its obviously the best! Lucky you. I know loads of people that didnt get this year. We had to drive 30 miles at 6am last year to get them! Not going again though, its all getting a bit routine. Trying to get tickets for the benicasim festival valencia - check it out http://www.fiberfib.com/

Ally
Leeds is headlined by RHCP, Razorlight and the Smashing Pumpkins. Really want to go again, but doubt I can afford it.

Sima
haahahaaa, what an utterly tedious line-up.
Syrette
What an awful line-up. Only 2 bands I'd like to see there, and that's the Manics and Foo Fighters (who I'm not a big fan of these days), and I've seen the Manics before tbh.
Guest BooBoo
To see a lot of those bands for £100 or however much a festival ticket costs these days is really good vfm.
Sima
it's really not as most/all of them are utter dogshit.
Guest BooBoo
Well i think a lot of them are decent so to me it would be worth the ticket price.
Guest Morph
I'd only go to see the Foo Fighters. The rest all sound the same. NME shite.
