Dont think so. Limits are on cash withdrawals. The limit on debits is set by your account balance i thought.

Not that I know of, although if you try and purchase an item of over a £100 over the internet the company involved will probably seek further confirmation you are who you say you are...

Don't know tbh, most I've spent is about £900 the other week when I had forgot to pay my rent for a few months.

Think it's a percentage of your limit and that percentage probably depends upon how much they trust you. Give them a ring beforehand and they'll ok it, they can pretty much change the rules as they see fit if they want to, I've had a grand out of the cash machine before - the limit is supposed to be £500 - because I rang and told them that I needed it to pay the deposit on a house.
