That is a shock, and bad craic. What do Fulham expect? He's 36 and by rights Fulham are a second division club. He did a fine job there. Hope he gets another job quickly mind, as he's been linked with us in the past...

Dear me. Where's this come from? SSN?

yeah, funny old game football. A few weeks ago people would've been pinpointing Coleman as a bright, upcoming young manager, doing "wonders" with such a small club.

Coleman Replaced

Tuesday 10th April 2007

Fulham Football Club this evening announced its decision to replace Chris Coleman as Manager with immediate effect.

Chris Coleman has provided a fantastic service during his ten years at the Club and it is disappointing that the Club has no alternative but to part company. As a team and organisation Fulham Football Club has goals to attain and success to achieve and by no means can this be compromised.

As part of the re-structure, Steve Kean will also be replaced with immediate effect.

After consultation with the Irish FA President Jim Boyce it is agreed that Lawrie Sanchez will join as Caretaker Manager for the remaining five Premiership games of the season.

Lawrie Sanchez is such a bizarre choice as caretaker manager too, usually you just promote one of the backroom staff (and give him the job full time at the end of the season if the club is ran by fat geordies). has he got history with Fulham?

Still only 36? Looks like an old muthafucka to me!

All 3,000 bits of him were sellotaped back together after his car crash, you'd look a bit old after such an event.

Sanchez knows how to get small time players to punch above their weight. I think he's been looking to get a foothold in Premier League management, and this is a perfect opportunityfor him to show what he can do.
