Yup. Got 3 Poles playing for Dortmund  (all of which started today) so I follow them closely, been my team in Germany since Jakub Błaszczykowski (Kuba) moved there in 2007.

It'll be remarkable if Wolfsburg go down like. Winning the title too relegation in 2 (?) years, in this day and age has to be one of the biggest plane crashes in football.

Well, it doesn´t look too good for them with 4 games remaining. Their remaining fixtures aren´t that brutal though, games against sides in 9th-13th place of the table but they definitely have A LOT to do if they want to remain in the liga. Especially considering they´ve only got 3 points in their last 6 games, this weekend´s 2-2 draw against St. Pauli really hurt their chances.

Felix Magath has been promised any car he wants out of the VW factory if he manages to keep the team up. Modestly enough he´s chosen a brand new Bentley. I thought he´d easily keep them up when he was appointed last month but the team has only managed 3 points in the 4 games they´ve played under him, next weekend´s game against FC Cologne will be absolutely crucial.

 

edit: Actually, I just remembered that the team in 16th plays a play-off match against the team placed third in the 2nd division so they'll most likely be alright as long as they can keep themselves above St. Pauli and Gladbach.

16th just means they have to play a 'play off match' (two in fact) against 3rd of the 2. Bundesliga - which they would win.

Good call with Raul. He looked washed up to me at Real, but he's been brilliant at Schalke. Nearly a goal every other game, and he has been totally class for them.

 

In particular, he was brilliant when they beat Bayern in the DFB Cup semi.

Saw two of their soft fans on a scooter nearly get killed to death by a van a few hours ago, trying to hold a one-scooter parade. I'm so happy I'm not in Dortmund right now (Schalke's my DE team).

Pity Sahin has been sold.....Dortmund play excellent football with him at the heart of many of their moves, and was looking forward to seeing them in the Champions League with a full strength team. Hopefully not too many others are sold off/get out clauses.

Watched Bundesliga game on Saturday FoxSoccer. A great last day relegation battle.

 

Roller coaster last game for Eintract Frankfurt.  Needed a win over champions Dortmund, and even opened scoring to lead 1-0, before giving up 3.  A very Sunderland performance by Eintract.....they had scored 26 points in the first half of the season, then only scored 8 in the second half. Must be managed by Bruce's twin brother.
