What do you people think Big Sam should take care of when he comes?

I say build some chemistry between Emre and Parker or sell one of them.

....and firing most of our defence line... is obvious  :uglystupid2:

Teach coaches how to play football? what you want to see them on the pitch or something

Anyway, think bringing coaches that knows something about organizing defence is essential.

They'd do a better job in defence tbh.

Not sure about what he should do, things he will do...

* Fitness assessments of all the players

* Hours a day on set pieces

* Install a load of computers for analysing players performances

* Try and bring his back room staff from Bolton

* Sign at least one really dirty player in midfield

* Work to improve Taylor's diving

* Sign a forward who's good in the air (but nowt else)

* Ban anyone from shooting from outside the area

* Convert Owen and Martins into wingers under a 4-5-1 system with said big striker up top

* Find out which players asked for Roeder to be removed and sell them

Then again he might surprise me.

I can't wait.

Shave McDermotts tache off.

Make Lee Clark Grow one.

Ah, the Guardian have an article on just this. Bolton had 21! backroom staff. Not a bad thing in itself, but it makes you think there's a lot of recruitment to be done in the next few days.

Worrying bit here where training gives way to marketing. Be interesting to see if Allardyce gets his way in pre-season, I assume he'd be against such branding led jaunts.

"Roeder, an admirer of Arsène Wenger, had been planning a European summer training camp akin to Arsenal's and Pearson had been to Germany to view facilities there, but it is believed that plan has been shelved and Newcastle will be involved in a foreign tour plus possibly a summer tournament. Presumably discussions with Allardyce will cover such topics."

Sell Parker/remove the transitional passing game's major roadblock.

Recruit two fullbacks who can attack from deep, get to the bylines and cut the ball back into the box. Owen's a master when it comes dropping off his marker's shoulder & finding space in the box. Martins has also displayed a propensity when it comes to dropping back into space within the penalty box.

Recruit a 'ball-playing' centre-halve ie.somebody who at times - ie. when our midfield is being pressed aggressively/under the pump - can take the ball out to the defensive edge of the centre circle, setting up the play in the process. Ball-carrying, or running fullbacks will stretch the opposition forwards' zone defensive. The fullbacks open things up the type of centrehalf i speak of.

Demolish the current football front-office - conditioning, fitness etc.

I'd be mortified if we started the season like that

Bring Tal Ben-Haim in on a Bosman.

Start up a Good Scouting System.

Sack Terry McDermott.

Bring in his own back room staff e.g. Physios, Coaches, etc.

Get a Good formation working with the Squad.

Get rid of the deadweight and other rubbish players e.g. Luque, Carr, Bramble, etc.

Buy Kevin Nolan from former club Bolton and make him captain.

Recruit Two attacking full backs who can go straight into the first team.

Buy an experienced centre back who'll lead the back four - making sure there a little to no mistakes during a match.

One of the things i'm gonna be most interested in is what he will do with the backroom staff. Most fans are in agreement that the backroom staff are useless (at least the first team ones anyway). We've had injury problems for a while now. Wonder if we will see the medical staff here next season under Allardyce. I can't see it somehow.
