Without going into transfers, there's four things I'm hoping we do better next season:
- playing out of a high press Keeper with baller skillset i.e. can pass under pressure
- less aimless clearances that just ends up inviting more pressure on our goal See above
- taking our time a bit more on the ball in transition when we don't have runners in good positions I still think we are missing a number ten or to move Bruno a bit further up the pitch to help with this kind of thing
- squad rotation BEFORE injuries starts cropping up With a great first 11 and decent back up (defenders/RW/Striker/Goalie) we can look to win games within 60-70 minutes and bring on good changes
A bonus fifth: make our midfield harder to play through Think Tonali, Bruno and Big Joe will be pretty formidable in that respect
Out of the above, a ball playing keeper, right winger and striker are our top big money targets this summer. This is assuming we get Tosin and/or Kelly...

Absolutely fooking class. Would argue his passing is a weakness.
Exactly what we do not need and what we already have here
-
Only thing he lacks is real pace. He isn't slow but you can see he struggles to keep up with the quicker wingers
-
Tripps, longstaff and kraft were championship at best tonight.
Too many chances squandered and far too loose in midfield on transitions.
Really dissapointing apart from Gordon, who made wan bissaka look very ordinary.

If we get Kelly and Tosin in, I’d be happy with a top quality RW and nothing else tbh. If we get that and keep Bruno and Isak I think we can have a really good season.
I still think we need to sell Wilson for 20M or thereabouts and spend a bit on a second striker. Isak can´t play the whole season himself, he needs a quality back-up, or even partner to mix things up up front. We need reliability up front and not such injury prone back up...
-
I didn´t think manu were so bad against arsenal yesterday, they put up a lot of fight but just didn´t have the quality up front and in the middle.
If Fernandes; Rashford and any defender (what they are saying) is back then it will be a tough game.
Would bring big Joe back into the fold for at least the first sixty mins, then replace with anderson. Rest of team sort of picks itself (murphy or barnes??)
-
Will be nice to see big joe back on the pitch at some point in the game (i would start him).
Would like to see a middle three of bruno joe and anderson, see if they gel. Very dynamic and forward facing midfield!

Nico Williams is on big money at Bilbao apparently.
Not a chance! Big money for Athletic Bilbao won´t even reach the 100k per week mark. I have a good contact there and no way is Nico on that money, his brother Iñaki will be close to the 100k mark...

Hope it's better than the interview with that rampant narcissist Jake Humphrey. The "High Performance" nonce.
Yep, I tried to watch a few of his podcasts and both him and the other guy come across as so arrogant and self centered, i.e. looking to showcase themselves rather than the interviewee...

Palace just strolling through them.
Eze or olise? Would love either of them, would need a system change though

When he has an off game he's dog shit but when he is playing well he doesn't look out of place at all. Lad seems happy to be here and help out the little mini celebrations with team mates when we score to me indicate he is one of the characters of the team.
The fact I hope he is happy to help out whenever makes me feel he would understand being a squad/rotation player for us particularly if someone comes in for almiron so unless a decent offer comes in for him happy for him to stick around.
This is the perfect summary for me too...

Can´t believe the amount of stupidly undervalued quotations from the press about how much it would cost Arsenal to buy him!!! Even seen some 150 million quoted for both him and Bruno ... they obviously have a huge agenda to try and unsettle them.
We cannot sell either of them to any of our prem rivals, it would be sporting suicide. I could just about bear it if Real madrid came in and wanted one of them, but City or Arsenal would really get my goat, it would just prolong the time we would take to compete for the premier league...
if we were to sell Isak or Bruno, it would have to be 150 million each or thereabouts... Caicedo/Enzo for 110M apiece, Osimen quoted at around the 120M mark.

Come on Palace!!!
-
I though he looked nervous for the first ten-fifteen minutes and then played a stormer. He is only a kid and will get much better with more experience.
Really like his passing ability and confidence with the ball, reminds me of Trippier but without the defensive toolkit completely in place.
Was not at all convinced when he first played but I am much more confident with what I have seen lately, good tasty humble pie!!!
-
Manu look knackered with Palace (in top form) and Arsenal next, we control our own destiny and can only get better with injured players back in reckoning. Chelsea have the easiest run-in but are still a couple of points behind us.
-
Ketsbaia... aah, those were the days
-
I think Kelly and him would be very astute signings as we need to spend big in other positions and we have a good central defence for next year albeit both injured.
Both are very highly rated, the fact they play in bottom/mid table teams has absolutely no influence imo, with eddie's input they will step up another level.
Both have pace, an ingredient we sorely lack with our high line pressing.
No brainer for me!
-
Would like us to sign two "purples" to come in and make an impact on the first team and then two or three "upcoming" youngsters to add some stardust to our bench.
-
Aye, Tosin and Kelly would be an awesome start to silly season
-
Loan him out next season so he comes back with game experience. He wont get minutes with our main boys back in midfield
-
Manu: palace, arsenal, nufc, brighton
Tot: chelsea, liverpool, burnley, city

I would like the brazilian kid from Atalanta, very good presser and defensive holder but can also play a bit (used to be a 10).
Would free up Bruno amd we could go to a more attacking 4231 or something similar.
Would prefer to see bruno further up the pitch this season.
