  1. Fucking cunt Benitez

Do us all a favour and fuck off will you?

Sick of the same people waiting for the bad result to slag him off, all because he’s not like KK and doesn’t go all out attack and they can’t realise football has moved on since then.

Why should we do that? We are entitled to our opinion. Fucking disgraceful lineup today. He’s part of the problem at times. Shit signings with the money he’s had.

And what money is that, you paedo bastard?

So I’m a paedo because I’m critical of Benitez ?????

    What a mong you are.

  3. For Ashley it’s 1 of 2 scenario’s and neither relies on the club staying up.

    1: he walks away from a deal where he gets 50m+ profit upon the sale of the club;

    Or

2: he leaves the club as is, continuously strips the club from a operating cost stand point, pockets any profit to get his money back from a loan perspective and reaps the continued rewards of exposure through the press for SD relegation or not.

As far as Mike is concerned he has the control here not Staveley as long term he’ll get back what he put in.

  4. The only movement in or out on transfer deadline day saw two loan moves for players who had been told they had no future at the club:

Tim Krul - a season-long loan move to Brighton.

Achraf Lazaar - a season-long loan move to Italians Benevento.

That'll help our bid to avoid relegation....

A year ago today we were congratulating everyone involved for the completion of 45 deals (including five contract extensions) that set up what ultimately proved to be a successful promotion campaign.

But this Summer's transfer window couldn't be more different.

It has been a complete shambles and everyone associated with the club: the owner, management, agents and players have all contributed to an incredible lack of professionalism even for this club.

It can hang its head in shame as a dispirited squad now faces a season of struggle.

This looks like a re-run of Summer 2012 when we only brought in Vurnon Anita and then had to panic buy when we got to January in 15th.

Sadly the world - and the Premier League - has moved on and we won't be so fortunate this time round.

These penny pinchers are gambling with our future yet again - Premier League survival on a shoestring - having twice come a cropper and sailed close to the wind on a few other occasions.

But we can't absolve Rafa Benitez from some of the blame as a lot of his signings needed to be unloaded and disgruntled and mismanaged players still remain at the club.

To be without a first team left back until January and to offload an international goalkeeper without a replacement is something that few of us expected from this regime.

Whatever positivity was at the club in May after winning the Championship, it has dissipated in just three months. That seemed unthinkable.

What an irony that Benitez returned from a prestigious UEFA coaching forum to try and manage a club with absolutely no ambition and run like a pub side....

If anyone mentions the word hindsight in May 2018 should disaster strike again then we will not be responsible for our actions. It will have been totally predictable and preventable.

The transfer window closed at 11pm on Thursday, here's a recap of what Toon-related business had been completed before then:

    Inbound:

    Christian Atsu bought

    Florian Lejeune bought

    Jacob Murphy bought

    Javier Manquillo bought

Mikel Merino loaned (with option to buy)

    Joselu bought

    Outbound:

    Vurnon Anita released

    Sammy Ameobi released

    Yoan Gouffran released

    Haris Vuckic released

    Lubo Satka released

    Florian Thauvin sold

    Kevin Mbabu sold

    Matz Sels  loaned

    Adam Armstrong loaned

    Daryl Murphy sold

    Ivan Toney loaned

    Emmanuel Riviere released

    Siem De Jong sold

    Grant Hanley sold

    Achraf Lazaar loaned

    Tim Krul loaned

    This needs highlighting more.

  5. He needs to take responsibility for his signings which are the reason he quite obviously isn't trusted by the people who control the purse strings. Maybe if he didn't waste money (wages and transfer fees) on Sels, Diame, Lazaar, Gamez and Hanley, the club, just maybe, would be willing to speculate a little more transfer wise.

  6. See some tiddly winks have just bought a lions share of Southampton for 210m which values them at around 265m

With that logic there's no way on this planet anyone is greasing Ashley's palm with 600m. He'd be lucky to get what Southampton have, although arguably we should be worth more - so maybe 350m is a fair price in today's vastly inflated market....

    Wow  :yikes:

  7. I think it's a proper s*** rule. Can see why they're doing it but it's all to improve the Sky product. Sky having more influence on the game. The way atmospheres should be improved is by introducing singing sections with flags and displays and driving down the pricing of tickets as they're ultimately irrelevant these days in terms of finances anyways. Have ssfw standing sections and increase a stands capacity by 50%+ and they'll cover their losses. Make home stadiums feared rather than away fans rocking up and putting their feet under the table the cocks

The product is the premier league and sky bids the highest amount to showcase the product in the uk therefore this decision has nothing to do with sky and all about the Premier League.

Stick them in the east stand corner where they used to be.

  8. Chris Babalooba's lurking. :la:

    Absolute rectangle.

Credit where Credit's due. Still doesn't change that this season has been harder than it should have been football wise. Having said that I will be eating humble pie for the foreseeable future.

  9. If we'd signed some new players I'd find it much easier to join in with criticism of Benitez. The c***s running the club took an unnecessary risk yet again, I'll never get behind their decision making when it comes to ignoring the manager regarding the needs of the squad. Any manager, but particularly this one.

Same could be said for the summer transfer window though. He was given more resources than any of our challengers and he didn't use those resources to full effect. The signings of Lazaar, Sels and Hanley cost us a combined 13m. 13m that should have been spent on a #10 to balance out the squad. Maybe that's why they didn't back him in Janauary. Either way he's struggling and has been since the start of the season.

  10. Absolutely making a hash of this season. Said it from week 1 of the season. Resources we have versus the turgid shite he serves up week in week out is unacceptable. I'll say it again, if Pardew was in charge there would be up roar. I don't get the support for Rafa.

  11. This place after a loss is such a cesspit man.

I would say after a win given the way we have played for 85% of the season is massively subjective and blinkered. After a loss reality and object opinion generally prevails. We could quite easily be sitting on 70 points this morning had we not rode our luck last week.

You're a WUM welcome to the ignore list.

Rather than calling me a WUM (which is an easy aquisation from imdividuals when they are incapable of holding an intelligent objective discussion) give me reasonable factors as to why my opinion is wrong? Rafa is the reason we are struggling

  13. He gets it wrong every home game. we'd be promoted already with a more positive manager.

Just to entertain this absolute horseshit for a second more than it deserves, to be promoted already we'd have to be sitting on 102 points right now. From a maximum available of 111.

    Okay.

Given our budget I say that is extremely relative. We should be miles ahead. Poor recruitment and negative tactics is costing us. No wonder Ashley doesn't trust him.

"No wonder Ashley doesn't trust him" dear oh dear

But he doesn't. If he did he would have backed him in Jan. But previous recruitment which is the direct impact of how shit we are (for me extremely lucky to be where we are) along with his negative tactics. Any top manager wouldn't have Jack Colback anywhere near the first team. He'd have replaced him with better recruitment in the summer.
