Concludes a disaster of a season. If we’re genuinely going to be competing for trophies, seasons like this are unacceptable. Any credit Howe had in the bank from last season is now long gone.

Anyone know anyone like this in real life? Or just attention seekers online?

Anyone else see him turn round and stare towards the gallowgate after about the 10th time of people moaning and groaning at him

    He was raging.

Whether people rate him or not that shows that the shit he gets is getting to him

    Not on really

Burn got the same a few games in a row. In particular Luton

Aye, think he said something too. Don't blame him one bit.

Remember Scott parker doing something similar? Think he told some miserable bloke in the east stand to fuck off if I remember correctly [emoji38] was topic of the week on the 3 legends phone in

I don’t think he’s good enough to start for them.

Yep. Started for us week in week out in a team that finished in the top 4 and was robbed from champions league progression, but not good enough for them ?

Are season ticket holders still allowed to swap seats for a small admin fee?

Don't think so no, with the exception of those that got moved to the standing section at the start of the season. I had tried to move next to some mates at the beginning of the previous season and was told only those who can provide a medical reason along with documented proof can move seats.

    Definitely the latter yesterday.

The few lads round me who joined in sang c*nts yesterday. Not doubting there are many that still sing the old version sadly, agreed they need to stop

  6. I thought even the corner was poor for large periods yesterday tbh. There's still plenty of folk in there who are only there because they couldn't be arsed to move elsewhere when it became safe standing

What do you suggest ? Family sized turnstiles?

It's just another example of how poorly thought out the current process is.

Here's hoping NUSC can stop the lad losing his loyalty points

Yep. Ended up having loads of abuse so ended up sitting down, as I couldn’t be arsed.

I was in an overwhelming minority.

Another blunder of the ballot btw. I was really excited to be in safe standing today btw. Turns out plenty of fans don’t agree. They were sat down for the penalty ffs.

I'm in the corner and I was looking up today baffled like. I guess the *only* excuse is that they didn't get told it was standing when they bought it.

Fairplay to you like for being sensible. I'm probably the softest bloke in the whole ground and think I would have ended up getting a ban for refusing if forced to sit down in a safe standing section

I’ve defo noticed ticket sharing is more rife like, I went to Villa and Forest on other people’s tickets and the ST holders didn’t bat an eyelid

Mind I didn’t think Forest was that great as a whole, felt like only part of the away end was singing most of the time. Was class after the goals mind, and where I was there was loads of regular travellers.

Funny you should say that, seemed quiet on telly compared to villa/Fulham

I said exactly this on here a few years ago when I started hearing it and a few people said "oh yeah we've always sang that" and I do not remember that at all. I used to go away semi-regularly from approx 2003-2013 and I'm positive I never ever heard or sang that song, but several people assured me I was wrong.

It's been sung since I started going to aways in 2010, but as I say just a small number of folk singing all 3 verses usually

Why is 'who's that team we call united so popular?'

Admittedly I had a sabbatical during the Ashley era, but I never heard it before before then.

Not sure, until maybe a year or two pre COVID you'd only ever hear the full song (Joe Harvey took a holiday/bring on your hearts your Hibs your Celtics/who's that team we call united) sung by a small number at away games or at the back of the corner.

Then all of a sudden the final verse became our "main" chant overnight

Doubtless a fair few on here were in the away end at Ewood in the 4-3 loss in the league cup. About 2012 ish? We played shite all match but scored two in stoppage time. Guthries goal I missed as I wasnt watching, the equaliser was just utter bedlam and I buckled my knee when Lovenkrands scored the pen in extra time, all this to see us lose with the last kick.

Crazy away end that night in a crazy game.

edit... it was back end of 2011.

Was my first away game that, class night despite the final result

Yeah. I can only make out that line and "Geordie boys are on the beers" after it. Dunno what the other lines are.

    To ring of fire

Kraft and dummet at the back...

    Tino on the overlap...

Ritchie's staying ten more years ...

Geordie boys we're on the beers

Definitely not my favourite though at least we seem to not sing it at the speed of light

Whilst I'm not saying they all were, from the videos nufc posted it seemed like there was a heavy contingent of all older boys there?

Anyone there notice this or am I just seeing things.

Was definitely my view as well. Half of my bus were over 60 I'd say

  15. I'd also point out there was virtually no bother when Sunderland played through here last time when they had no official escort and could make their own way from central.

Been no bother at their place for a while too.

People aren't as hard when there aren't lines of coppers separating them.

Treat people like animals and they behave that way. Treat people with respect and the overwhelming majority will act sensibly

  16. Hope not. Was shit. Put on a double decker at St James Park with no toilet.

The bus then stopped at Scotswood road for 45 minutes waiting for the entire rest of the busses in our slot to fill up. Lads asked the coppers if they could nip off and into the bushes for a piss, and they were told they'd be nicked and given a five year ban if they did.

Never seen anything as dramatic in my life as police motorbikes speeding past us as we arrived at each roundabout, to stop traffic from any other exit entering the roundabout while the convoy approached.

    Wouldn't do it again

  17. Seemed like a lot better atmosphere than usual in the Leazes end, was good to see a lot standing too!

Canny atmosphere in the first half in the Gallowgate but a bit flat second half.

That central section in the Gallowgate is a real vacuum of noise like, the demographics are more east stand than home end.
