Almost certainly Arsenal I reckon. He seems the type to like London and thinks anywhere north of Watford is in the wilds. Can't see him going abroad at all

Not sure if you remember him signing for us from Northampton with a few northern loans [emoji38]

Seen a bit of that. So he lives in Bristol, has been a ST holder for 20 odd years but has only 20 loyalty points for away games and that's a crime?

I mean, fair doos, these content providers are all attention seeking narcissists in varying degrees but harmless, nonetheless.

Anyways they, and the supposed influx of "tourists" invading the fanbase is a by-product of success.

Not so sure about the YTers but our foreign contingent are more than welcome by me.

People saying he's popped up post takeover, but it takes two seconds to go on youtube sort his videos by age and see he was posting in January 2020 about selling some of the dross we had under Bruce. The 'hardcore' seem to have it in for him though.

Lets not forget this ballot has made atmosohere worse home and away, the away ticketing system checks have seen people not turn up. Away ticket ballots for fans who never wanted to travel before.

Has anyone seen that video in regards to Arsenal ballot/atmosphere. There new system this year similar to ours, fans complaining this year atmosphere alot worse at the emirates.

Just get back to how it was and why ya there stick a standing end in the Leazes

The away ballot is 1% of the allocation, this has no impact on the away atmosphere.

Increased allocation last night improved the atmosphere massively, allowing some of the fans who used to be able to get a ticket for away games the chance to get back. Will unfortunately drop again at the next when it's back to the day trippers.

    This makes no sense whatsoever.

Yeah. I’m sure there’ll be ways to improve what’s happening now, and with regards to home tickets, I’m sure more could be done to find out which seats are going up on these sell on websites. My mate got one for £210 for PSG and I encouraged him to forward the seat number to the club after the event, but he didn’t. The persons name was on the digital ticket sent to him too.

For what it’s worth, Wednesday will be the first away game I’ve been on my own ticket since Everton away under McClaren (enough to put you off any game), and I’ve relied on friends getting me them when I’ve been ever since. I was lucky enough to get my ST back in the 1000 after giving it up when Bruce arrived. I hope I can be forgiven, given I’m travelling from Scotland. Ha. 10-15 years ago I used to be able to get away tickets on a membership pretty easily too. Even got Anfield on a membership when Barton got sent off in the relegation season. Boro the last time we were there.

Anyway, I’m going on. The change has inconvenienced me as shown above, but I think we need a bit more than toys out the pram reaction.

I couldn't get an away ticket since the takeover, Man Utd will be the third away game I've attended in just over a month using my own account. I'm sure there'll be plenty others having similar success this season.

If one person can give someone else their ticket then everyone should be able to.

Why? Its clear this season that the lower points totals are giving more people the ability to attend, whereas tickets previously were hoarded at the much higher points totals.

  7. Subscribed to Undr the Cosh and not once has Brucie come up...

They've had plenty of middle league plodders on, talkling shite about their average careeers, but never yet hear scone against Wor Steve!

Barely a mentioned. Geoff Horsfield talking about Brucie coming in and making them do fitness doggies than Man U  did, and Dugarry...

Don't listen to the Chris Kirkland episode then....

  8. There is no appetite for a protest, best thing any individual can do is walk away and hope that year on year attendances will continue to drop. Eventually Ashley will gamble one too many times, we'll go down and we won't bounce back. He may sell at this stage. Protesting then attending the games will not achieve anything anyway.

  9. 4 for the Munich QF. Happy to drink there for the weekend.

Same here mate, fingers crossed England manage to get there - should be a good experience all the same. Very interested to see if the city idea works.

How can England get to Munich?

"Should Gareth Southgate’s side qualify for the final competition, Wembley Stadium will host at least two England group games at UEFA EURO 2020."

Wembley has games scheduled for Group D only, so this is the group we'd be in.

Win group D = 2nd round Dublin and QF in Rome.

Come second = 2nd round Copenhagen and QF in St Petersburg

If we finish 3rd in the group then there is a chance but I can't see us making the QF after finishing 3rd in a group where we play the majority of games at home?

  10. Over 20% boycotting wouldnt make much difference?

    Disagree.

We had similar attendances when we first returned from championship back in 2010.

Anyway that wasn’t my point, I think the boycott is doomed to fail and proposed an alternative which people haven’t focussed on, instead you’re all commenting on a random figure I pulled out of my head.

I have also cancelled my ST, so I am boycotting regardless.

  11. Agree if the crowd slips down to 30 000 thats fantastic , will look

shit for the tv cameras and gives boycotters a huge boost when arguing with those still going . Every success is welcome even if it starts small and then builds

I think 30k was me probably being optimistic. Realistically we're looking at 40k arent we. Which won't make much of a difference.

  12. A boycott should be aimed at all televised away games:

Any home boycott will not work as we have 30k minimum who will attend no matter what.

Newcastle seem to consistently get picked for TV games at late notice and on Monday nights. The club earns approx 1m per TV game.

A boycott of tv away games can be 2 protests, one in protest towards Ashley. As I guess sky would get sick of us taking no fans and stop selecting our games, resulting in a loss of income towards the club.

And two, in protest towards Sky consistently changing our games.

No fan can use reasons such as “I’m already half way into the DD payments for the season” or various other things. How many really take their kids on away days especially Monday nights. So that’s another genuine reason avoided.

I think this would make a differance in theory but a lot of our fans might not want to give up the days out on the drink  :embarrassed:

  13. When can people usually renew their season tickets? Sure it’s normally been announced by now but the club still don’t know when the date will be.

I emailed them yesterday and they told me to monitor the site as news will be up soon

  14. Portugal fans were lobbing bottles as well mind.

Anyhoo, why can’t our lot stop behaving like bell ends ffs.

When there is 10-15k there, always bound to be a few idiots in fairness.
