  1. Luckily I've seen us beat them more than I've seen them beat us, I've seen them relegated to the third division twice, (couldn't say how many 'normal' relegations they've had as I lost count), I've seen their dead eyes as we genuinely had two very good sides going places and they simply couldn't hack it then and won't if we take off again. My point? Always our rivals but they've a lot in common with their pals at Goodison when it comes to bitterness. I couldn't give a fuck if they get promoted this year tbh, the fact they couldn't get out of that league for a few seasons and the last gasp defeats at Wembley were funny as fuck and I'd be being greedy to ask for more. FTM, MFI, MLF, SCS, everything must go etc, etc. 👍

A former poster on both forums described TT as the Premier league and NO as the championship I seem to remember...

It's like going from the SAS to dad's army. ;)

  3. Just logged on here to find a 'new message' from seven years ago.

I'm a bit gutted if it's dead for good. Shame we didn't get any notice to sort something before it bit the bullet. Anyone on here knows me from TT but has a different name on here let me know as I'll obviously not have a clue.

  4. Mine was a 4-0 home win over Shrewsbury in 82 or 83. Keegan scored one, that's about all I can remember. Stood in the paddocks for some reason instead of the gallowgate, I think my dad thought I was too young for in there.

must been 83- nearly sure we lost to shrewsbury 0-1 at home 82/83.

had a season ticket in the paddocks that season £20.

The 0-1 to Shrewsbury was my first ever game in the family enclosure. Been downhill ever since.

The Shrewsbury defeat was my first game as well, remember going up the steps, seeing the pitch for the first time and being in awe. Got squashed going out with my Dad but loved it apart from the score. Was 1983 and remember a disgruntled Gallowgate singing for Varadi as a few weren't happy he was sold.

  5. 'Northern Echo: Shola Ameobi set for contract talks at end of season'

    :yikes:

Not a great surprise although I expected him to sign when the summer transfer window shut as a free agent when we failed to get enough strikers over this imaginary line Pardew keeps mentioning.
