  1. Wake up man. You wake up. Look at Ali's reaction BEFORE Shelvey gets there. He's down holding his head and throwing it back as though he's been stamped on, only then does Shelvey put his foot there which is when Ali repeated his antics. Shelvey was getting sent off before he put his foot there because referee's protect big name players. Ali should also have a ban for play acting. There's no defence for Shelvey none. He intentionally stepped on his ankle. That is a straight red card. Idiot.
  2. As if we are in the position to even think about doing that Exactly unfortunately we need the cunt. Bench the fucker. Maybe we can sell him in January if we can find someone decent as a replacement.
  3. Manquillo looked decent but was too slow to react for their goal. The rest looked ok. Encouraging that our defence held up after the injuries I think we'll be able to survive if Lejune is out for a few weeks. Atsu looked decent. Gayle doesn't look fit. Perez did fuck all mind. I dont think Ritchie was bad per-se, i think we were trying to expose walker-peters hence all the play down the left.
  4. We need players who aren't going to do something like that, especially this season. Complete lack of professionalism, there is no need. If he want to start this season he needs to win that spot back, and prove he's going to play like an adult.
  5. We were better away from home last year because teams didn't sit back as much and gave us more space. Doubt it will be the same this year. We stay up by getting as many points from home as possible, including in games like this. Shelvey has fucked us royally.
  6. You forgot rule four, which is actually the base rule for rules 1-3, which is "the sky is always falling in". They've still massively fucked this window like, no denying it. Just pay the money for Perez its getting ridiculous now sometimes you have to bite the bullet and pay over the odds.
  7. If we're going to stay up this season we need to be difficult to beat at home. Start going into any home game being grateful for a positive performance is preparing for relegation. A positive performance would see us hard to beat. I just think they'll outclass us, they're a very good side. Based on his time here, and at Liverpool, I'd say these are the sort of games where Benitez' teams have a chance. Based on the results today as well we can't go into these games expecting defeat as our competition will be earning a decent number of points against top 6 teams.

  9. Absolutely right. If Rafa knew this anyway then there's no point in airing your dirty laundry in public. Sell up you fat c***, if you don't think we can compete. Although you could say exactly the same re Rafa.
  10. Wages will probably be an issue. Ashley and Charnley need to get a move on.
  11. Gone with an Arsenal to win for the pre match bet and will probably do something similar for the in play one.
  12. I think thats what should edge it. Our team is a unit this year. We have lost players like Wijnaldum, Townsend and Sissoko, but we'll be playing as a unit this year. Plus i think our defence and central midfield is better than last time. It will be difficult though as I think all three promoted teams will give it more of a go than any of the relegated teams did this season.
  13. I don't really buy the wages excuse, our wages to turnover ratio when we went down was good in comparison to other PL teams, and since then we've lost Anita, Taylor, Colo, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Thauvin, Tiote and Gouffran. I doubt anyone we signed last year is on wages comparable to those lot, with the possible exception of Ritchie and Diame. If we gave long expensive contracts out to hanley and the like then that's stupid decisions on our part because they wern't worth that. It is a very difficult window for clubs like us, but pissing around with someone like Perez, for £13.4 mill in this market shouldn't be happening. I'll judge it at the end of the window, but we need to step up our game. I'm not in the Ashley is a complete scrote and won't spend anything ever cause all he wants is 17th camp either. I am still hopeful that this is just trying to get our money to go as far as possible, as I cant fathom why anyone, even Ashley, would led Steve McClaren spend 75 million and then give fuck all to Benitez.
  14. I won one bet since I didn't get it last time, so not sure about that. Aye? So if you've only won one bet since the last offer, you must have lost quite a few? More losses = more bonus. The only way I make that assumption is I have a Bet365, my mate does and so does my lass. I gamble (and lose) the most and got £50, my mate gambles periodically and got £25 and wor lass never uses hers and got nothing. I only got £10 and i never win fucking anything. Change of tactics this season. Instead of bollocks accumulators that I always lose I'm going for the bulk method of putting 10p on every conceivable bet involving 7-9 teams. Less pay out but hopefully less irritating one team from a win results. Put 24.70 on 8 teams (actually ended up as 7 as Derby was called off) and ended up with 51 instead of getting fucked over by Southend losing to Newport. Gone with this for the weekend: Reading or Draw @ 5/6 Middlesbrough @ 10/11 Wigan @ 10/11 Crewe @ 29/20 Newcastle or Draw @ 13/10 Draw (West Brom - Bournmouth) @ 11/5 Hull @ 3/5 Blackburn @ 4/5 Chelsea -1.0 @ 4/6 Block, 502 bets * £0.10
  15. I genuinely don't believe people actually think the bubble is going to burst if i'm honest, wanting it sure but believing it? nah, there's zero evidence to actually suggest it's going to do anything but grow. I'm pretty sure that Sky subscriptions are going down for a start. And how many pubs have closed down over the last 5-10 years? The net figure is 26-31 per week, and they are another major source of income for sky. Although as said it looks like for the forseable the foreign rights increases will be large
  16. There still spaces on this? I might be able to make it up.
  17. I'd go with Group B as they will probably have some space. Our draft is in 2 hours and we've now got 10.
  18. Talksport claiming Genoa have enquired about Lazaar. https://talksport.com/football/transfer-alert-italian-club-make-enquiry-newcastle-defender-achraf-lazaar-170807249446
  19. I'm happy to be in a second league if you need extra numbers. Can't draft tomorrow evening but free apart from that
  20. "I know there will be problems - he is my son - I know what is coming" love this quote
  21. It was the same with him towards the end of last season.
  22. Maybe ask the group B or C admins (opening post) if they can take an 11th player. We have 2 no shows
  23. In League 2, Stevenage better than evens to beat Newport County at home seems good odds on B365. Gone with Boro, Villa, Bradford, Stevenage
