He seems genuinely humbled to have the opportunity to manage this club, which is flattering coming from a man of his calibre, and unbelievably refreshing after suffering the Ashley agenda for the last decade or so. The respect is there, and it's totally genuine.

It's just a pity his awe is very much about an NUFC from the past as opposed to the current one (the intoxicating grandeur of an empty SJP, presumably, aside); hopefully he'll play a big part in making the next era an exciting one which will also be looked back upon fondly.

It's nice to get the feeling that we're not seen as some two-bit operation and - in fact - seen as exactly what we are: a big club, a rich cultural institution, and something a man with his reputation should feel priveleged to be associated with.

    True dat

Hasn't he flopped hard pretty much everywhere he's gone in club football?

He had a decent run with West Ham (2015-2017) and West Brom. later

  4. I am from Saudi Arabia .. I recently supported this club because I love my country of course.

I am disappointed to see this thread, but I understand your concerns.

However, in my country we love seeing NUFC fans celebrating our flag and wearing the traditional clothes.. we are building bridges!

Our culture is badly portrayed in the media for many years.. always looked like the villains in movies.. backward.. women haters...etc.

Now, we are changing .. women now have far more rights than EVER!

BUT not to please your Western values.. only reasonably meeting you in the middle according to our values and morals.

We love our country.. we love Newcastle United .. period.

I wish to see a coach that will change the team similar to what Mancini did with City .. Klopp with Liverpool.

I believe Erik Ten Hag might be the guy ..

Apparently de Ligt is being offered to Chelsea as Juve want him off their wage bill.

Get ten Hag in for fortunes to lure him

in.  He could be our captain for the next 10 years.

    I like that idea

    Benitez for me.

A safe pair of hands who knows the club and can get on with the academy and training ground rebuild. Even if it’s just for the next three years or so which I doubt it would be

I would love to see Rafa, I thought he is a far choice but the rumors are getting stronger of him signing with NUFC.

i think the poll would be more instructive if we voted for all the ones we absolutely wouldn't touch

True .. Frank Lampard for example

We will likely have 15 points on the board before the Jan window and we’ve burned through a good chunk of our winnable games already. It’s looking pretty grim, like.

I am worried we might relegate
