If we say spend 200m this summer, but nothing the next 2 summers (without sales) what position does that leave us in? maybe we are willing to spend big now, and are confident that the next few windows will only need a few additions, or confident of a sale, or could it be that else have new sponsorships etc in the pipeline and we are just spending in advance?

“Deal on” to me means it’s happening, yet it’s not even got its own tweet. really grates on me the wording used by journos -

We could just be going all out this window and not really spend much for the next 2 years, or we could be planning to sell our women’s team next year if they are in the top division, but it’s hadd not to worry about Isak going (either this year or next) if this came off -
I mean that pass he assisted Isak with against Chelsea in his first start (?) was delightful, certainly believe he could be good further forward.
-
Such as?
-
Considering it’s pure profit in PSR terms and he’s only got 1 year left, I’d accept it, could allow us to sign another £40/£50 million player & cover the first year or 2 of their contract.

Fucking hell that feeling of a transfer is back! Like a first sip of a pint after 2 years tee total
-
In all seriousness it’s baffling how this is still not done, what is going on
-
Yeah, if I recall correctly it was leaked in the early morning the day before the takeover, shortly after someone found one the passengers LinkedIn was linked to Amanda, and later that day the whole Bein Sport BeoutQ was settled. Was a crazy 48 hours
-
Agreed but I think it might be

If he wasn’t 100% commited to coming here then I’m glad he’s gone elsewhere
-
If it’s a choice between DCL or Wilson signing a new deal, I choose DCL
-
If you could just explain how you have decided that Elanga doesn’t want to come here, when it was Forest who rejected the bid?

Isak only scored 6 in 32 games for Sociedad the season before we bought him. I know it’s slightly different circumstances but it’s still a risky deal, we dropped £63m on him and that looks a bargain now. If we can get this guy for around 40m and are confident he can play a lot fo games, then it could be another great deal.
-
Tough start but could be good to get some of the tougher games out the way before the CL starts, I’d much rather play a Wolves or Burnley after a mid week CL match than a villa or a liverpool
-
It was when Tonali and Bruno swapped that changed things
-
As soon as I posted it I was waiting for a comment about the colours but I can’t be arsed editing it just for that 😂

I imagine even if we sign him and line up 433 on paper, we may see a lot more fluidity on the pitch. for example against teams at home where they are sitting back, we don’t need as much cover at the back. I could see something like the below in games where we would have most of the ball:
-
Only 1 year left on his deal apparently which could explain the price
-
Interesting, do you think Ornstein has got bad info? He is usually spot on
-
I don’t think so, we can just plan ahead and rest them at different times. I.e if we had 3 games a week, Isak could play 2, Mbuemo 2 (1 RW, 1 ST) and Murphy 2
-
The fact he can cover ST and is essentially 2 in 1 makes it a no brainer for me. Osula should be given the last 15/20 mins of games next season if Isak comes off, and if Isak needs resting fully, we can go Osula up top, or stick Mbuemo there and give Murphy a game.
