Using groupthink, sheep and 'virtue signalling' like you learned of them through independent thought and not through...
groupthink and being a sheep.
Ummm… So basically anything we learn ever, from school to university and beyond is simply mainstream, lazy and non-divergent?
Lol.

Maxi is a much better player with Willock on the pitch. Willock offers forward runs and dynamism in the final third, which few of our other players offer. Play Joe and Maxi if you want the best out of Maxi.

Got to hand it to you Outremont, you came in with some tough competition but I think you might be the worst poster on here now. Credit where credit’s due
Seems like to be accepted here you need to go with popular opinion, practice the art of groupthink, like sheep. How dare someone present an alternate point of view!
Yeah, I’m good doing my thing.

Did he NOT take the knee yesterday? I wasn't paying special attention but when I looked over I'm sure he was the only one standing??
Does it matter? I don’t blame him. It’s a virtue signalling gesture. More meaningful and practical things to do than this.

was absolutely perfect Joe Willock there. The kind of run that he did on loan. Quick move and boom he’s off - he’s faster than most with that long stride of his.I think we need to find a way to get him in the team alongside the middle 3 today. Too good to miss out. Perhaps in the Almiron role?
That burst of pace was brilliant, exhilarating.

Love a underdog story and Krafth certainly is one. Turned his career around here. Deserves all the praise he is getting. Making Target look very pedestrian at attacking in comparison!
Well done Emil!

I thought Krafth was brilliant and made the defence a lot better this week. Pleased he’s making a positive impact!

Proper ray of sunshine, aren’t you? Not only was it not one of the worst games, it wasn’t even one of OUR worst games.
Mate someone in the Gallowgate said it was a shite game and on TV it was poor also. Just stating facts here.

Absolute shitfest and the atmosphere was flat as a fart, which was really disappointing for a Friday night game.
However, they offered the square root of fuck all and we got three points so I won't be too negative.
Probably one of the worst PL games this season. Absolutely awful. Fast forwarded long periods on the replay.

It’s unfair Maxi cops this much criticism, especially when Burn has cost us at least 6 of the last 9 points and gets away with it.
-
He cost us the game and was a horror show against Spurs. What’s strange about that?

"Pre-season is going to be crucial,” Bruce said. “I’m going to set up a training camp, maybe Portugal. I’ve done it before – I’ve set up a training camp so that they can have a holiday.
“From 10am to 1pm they’re still ours, rather than coming to the training ground where there’s nobody here for five-and-a half weeks."
So...he's set up a training camp so the team can have a holiday?
And, this is better than them going to the training ground whilst there's nobody there (i.e. because he isn't there because he is on holiday)?
Meticulous. I also assume those 3 hours of training include lunch.
Absolutely abysmal this

I wonder if Burn is going to try to play centre mid again and leave huge holes in our defence. He is becoming a specialist at this role of late.

I love that he is aggressive and wants to engage players early and high up the pitch. But a few people had mentioned this being a weakness at times. As he got done against Brentford and Everton a few times doing this. It certainly was yesterday.
I thought he was brilliant first half. But in the second, he couldn't help stepping up and trying to nick it off Son or Kane and get tight to them early. I think he got rolled a good 4-5 times in a row, but still persisted with it.
Bad day at the office all round and Burn has been brilliant since coming in. But I thought it was really noticeable how often he got skinned yesterday and was madness that he kept trying it time and again.
The guy has rocks in his head. He lost us the game at Everton and seemed set on doing it again here. He’s an absolute liability.

Completed more passes than Fraser (27 to 23) and he completed more dribbles, 4 from an attempted 10 versus Fraser who didn't attempt a single one
ASM would genuinely get less stick if he played like Fraser, Obertan, Ryan Taylor etc, just run to the full back and then pass back
Good god you just brought back some dark days with the Obertan (and RT) reference.

Burns performance against Spurs was the worst I’ve ever seen from a centre back

They wouldn’t be able to put 3 men on him if we offered any other threat at all to be honest. Wood and Fraser did absolutely nothing, Joelinton didn’t get involved and Targett never looked to overlap. It’s not something you can criticise ASM for.
Great call this. It’s very true - no goal threat from an awful Wood and Fraser means Maxi can get ganged up on.

Honestly I'd not be against playing him over Willock at times. I hate Willock's attitude. He's either Yaya Toure or a ghost.
Willock got 2 shots on target and looked a threat from midfield. What more can you ask man? Fraser and Almiron powderpuff and got no shots on target.

Anyone else would be getting absolutely hammered for his goal return and his general play. He’s a nice guy and a very hard worker, but Joselu was a better footballer than him.
Joselu would be decent in this team with attackers either side and more possession. I thought Joselu was OK. Good footballer.
Wood however is awful man.

Agree. I thought he was good. Better than the Wolves game. Composed and generally involved in the best attacking moves.
