I dont think it is mate, ive been going for years with my grandad, old man brother, my mates and their dads, walking the same route and sitting in the same locations since the early 80s. Whilst I am on side with a slight move in
t he city to gain more sets and space, its still a tough emotional pull to walk away from the current SJP, especially since some of the people i went to the match with are no longer here.
Castle Leazes is within spitting distance . Im sure the ghosts of SJP past will have no problem adjusting and neither should we

It’s the ‘existing stadium is key’ bit that I don’t get. SJP isn’t anything like what it was even 25 years ago. It’s not the same ground. Why are the current stands suddenly important?
Yep SJP is currently late stage Triggers Broom

Anyone want guess how much Mr Shearer would be worth now ?

Football totally different to when Shearer was playing. We have one of the best strikers in the league, and in Europe. End of.
When he can spark out Gillespie on a drunken night out then hes arrived imo

Isak is young yet . Shearer was indeed a machine i doubt we will see his like again but then i preferred Supermac anyway ?
-
As poor as hes been this season he deserves next season when hes not ( hopefully ) playing with an injury . Dont give up on the kid just yet

106 miles was always ridiculous and scaling back a $1.5T project is much different than a few hundred million to £1B project, but it is another example of some possible PIF issues as @TheBrownBottle has mentioned before.
Mebs theyve been tipped the wink on FFP etc and fancy dropping £ 1.5 trill on the toon ?

So much for our Saudi Overlords and their ability to build anything

In these antiseptic and curated times it wont be long before recorded fan noise and singing will be pumped into the stadium via speakers

I know these NUFC youtubers/content makers are all much of a muchness, in it for the same thing (clicks and views). but the only one I can really watch is that lad with the 'Black and White banter' channel.
At least he has a laugh with some of his content, seems quite down to earth/level headed, and sounds like he's still holding down a normal job off channel too - i.e. not trying to make this his living (yet), and spending his days hanging around the stadium or training ground.
Ever More is good and the Toon Review though he gets a bit shouty at times , oh and Matty ? Magpie channel . Try to watch True Faith sometimes but the fat Tory and posh accents and token working class geordie Norman puts me off

A bit of tarmacs been laid . All the news that matters ?

Just a few other pictures from that page, obviously biased but for me it'd be the best stadium in the UK - as grand as Spurs' but with more of a colosseum feel and less of an Americanised stadium feel and with amazing history attached to it too. Granted Man U will upgrade/rebuild, but the rest wont look at good as this imo, it would be some sight. I totally understand the commercial side but this extension would bring in more boxes going along the Gallowgate so so would be a significant upgrade on a corporate level too. I don't know what's the stopping the club hosting gigs etc like other clubs to claim that money too, surely they can? Granted Spurs' American football games are something they have over the rest with their retractable pitch. But isn't it more fun to go up against the rest with identify and history behind us too?
I guarantee a lot of fans will be jealous if they're left with hollow new stadiums. I think Everton's new stadium looks to be a decent attempt at keeping some old school feel but it still lacks a unique or grandiose feel from it looks like so far. Many Man City fans miss Maine Road despite the obscene success. West Ham have moved stadium to somewhere with zero identity - how's that extra revenue going for them? They've dont quite well but nothing game changing. I say all this with the caveat that singing area's need to be arranged going forward.
Impossible to move the Milburn stand any further back because of Barrack road

Pope
Tino Schar Burn Hall
Tonali Bruno Linton
Striker Isak Gordon
Woulda been a decent set up this season had we bought a striker in place of Wilson

The Champions League game showed that there needed to be some change to how we play, it was absolutely killing the players playing two/three times a week at high-intensity. All the seasoned managers usually have a grind it out plan for games in the league after a European game, where they'll play a less intense pressing football. Lessons to be learned.
This . Somehow people have come to accept that 4 3 3 and high intensity ( sings " High Anxiety " in a Mel Brooks stylee ) is the Holy Grail of football - its not its just one way of playing . Systems become fashionable then overtime get discarded . Its not sustainable in the long term as was said above

Be sad when Howe is sacked before a state of the art training ground is built that will help the players recover from his intense style
Can but hope that he progresses to a less intense style of play and that injuries overall lessen as a result . Theres more than one way to win a football match

Better performance than Saturday , didnt give ourselves a mountain to climb , just one moment of madness and a lack of finishing did for us
