Boro's new away kit is "fully waterproof". Are they planning on going swimming at half-time or something?

http://www.footballshirtculture.com/200807231711/08/09-kits/middlesbrough-08-09-errea-kits-fully-waterproof.html

Middlesbrough’s kit manufacturer Errea have revealed that the club’s new 08/09 home and away shirts are resistant to water and other liquids thanks to unique technology that utilises silver and titanium in the shirt fabric.

Errea’s marketing manager Fabrizio Taddei believes supporters will be amazed by the technology too.

“Middlesbrough are the first and only football club in the world to have utilized this unique material in a football shirt,” said Fabrizio.

“The new shirts are not only fully waterproof but are also resistant to other liquids,” he continued.

Errea are at the forefront of incorporating new scientific breakthroughs into the manufacture of sportswear and utilised ‘nanotechnology’ to make the water-resistant nature of Boro’s new shirts possible.

Nanotechnology is an emerging science which involves working with matter on an ultra-small scale, using individual atoms and molecules.

Fabrizio explains: “Whereas other clothing is often made waterproof through a coating process, tiny particles of titanium and silver have been woven into the yarn of Boro’s new shirts to create a unique fabric.

“We are confident that the new technologies utilised in the manufacturing of the shirts will be appreciated by the players and the supporters.”

West Brom home and away, and yes they are being sold without a sponsor.

Love the WBA home kit. Tbh would like all kits to have no sponsors on them, looks much nicer in general, although I realise this isn't realistic as a massive amount of money is gained from shirt sponsorship.

I was reading somewhere that once WBA have a sponsor lined up, they'll have it so those who bought the shirt without can go in and have the sponsor logo put on for free. Who the f*ck would do that? I would love to have a NUFC shirt without Northern Rock on the front.

Like the idea of no sponsors, a LOT, i wish they were either just not there or very discreet. I love the retro look. But i just ain't a fan of WBA's kit.

Still, good on em. Thought the away one was a referee's kit!
