The lad needs to get his shit together to be honest.

He's a good player but he's going to piss his career up the wall if he's not careful, and that'll be a shame - regardless of who he plays for.

Groningen manager Hans Nijland has conceded he expects highly-rated striker Marcus Berg to leave the club this summer.

The 22-year-old is wanted by two Premier League clubs after impressing for Sweden in the European Under 21 Championship in his homeland.

The promising striker won the Golden Boot award as the tournament's leading scorer with seven goals, after netting a hat-trick in Sweden's opening match against Belarus.

Serious interest

Nijland has confirmed two Premier League clubs are keen on the youngster, who they have already lined up a replacement for.

"Soren Lerby, the agent of Marcus Berg, has informed us there is a really serious interest from two clubs in the Premier League," Nijland told the Sunday Mirror.

"We have his replacement already lined up."

Aston Villa and Tottenham are reportedly leading the chase for the striker's services, although Everton have also been credited with an interest

Can see him being another expensive flop after a good youth tournament.

Thought he looked good.

It depends where he goes and how much on whether he'll be a hit or not.

Ideally someone like ourselves for £5m mark would be an excellent move for him if we sort ourselves out.

Think he has a big future ahead and would definitely cope in the PL. Has proved at both IFK Göteborg and FC Groningen that he is a true goalscorer and I don´t think it was that big of a surprise what he achieved in the tournament.

I'm going to call shenanigans on his claimed weight as well.

Still can't believe we actually attempted to sign him despite the fact he hadn't (and still hasn't) even got near the City bench in months. To think Llambias actually used it to try and defend the January window as well. :nope: Cunt.

Ashley Cole has been offered a four year deal, not sure if he's signed it or not, only seen it on the news bar on FIFA 09.

Clearly an Abramovich signing, will probably play in Malouda's place, and drop back to left back when Cole is injured.

What don't you get about that? He thinks Zhirkov will play LW instead of Malouda, and when Ashley Cole is injured he will play left back.
