Not condoning the gesture but he's a kid who's been collared by a group of Ultras and encouraged to do it.

The power the Ultras have at clubs in Italy is crazy. It would take a brave lad to tell them to f*** off.

I agree tbh. Not that I condone it , but sometimes by standing against it you make yourself a prime target.

Did we install a sell-on clause into the deal that saw us sell Milner to Villa?

According to everything I've read, no.

With him, Given, and N'Zogbia potentially moving thats a fair chunk of potential cash we've missed out. Should just stick a mandatory 10% in whoever we sell IMO. Money for nowt at the end of the day.

Imo Steven Ireland is as good as Milner when on form, Villa have robbed City there.

Milner's been in form for 2 years though. Ireland hasn't. I think he'll probably find form again at Villa though.

Is that Ireland/Milner deal done btw? And if it is, is he available to play against us?

Edit: Just checked it, couldn't find anything on City's site, but bbc gave me the news.

BBC report the Milner deal is worth 24m. I guess it would be stupid to assume a sell-on clause was inserted into the deal when we sold him?

Milner saga finally over, but the whole deal worth £26M

Rising to 29m with addons, by all accounts.

The thing is, if Ireland gets back to his 2 seasons ago form, i can see this being one of the best transfers in history. Ireland two years ago was immense, him and Robinho were just quality during that first half of the season!

Segun Oluwaniyi

So according to BBC, Prince Boateng was bought by Genoa and immediately loaned to AC Milan who will buy him at the end of the loan. Very odd deal. I presume that the future fee Milan will pay them is higher than what they paid Portsmouth. They should just hope the euro maintains its value over this period.

I'm also very happy the Marseille seem to be making swift progress in trying to acquire Gignac and Remy. These should have been the original types of targets instead of targeting Fabiano, Gilardino, and similar players. Hopefully this can expedite a potential Ben Arfa to Newcastle transfer as well.

Village Idiot

Milan's sporting director has admitted that they are interested in Zlatan Ibrahimovic and would like a swap deal. Swap with who? Don't think  Pato is on the table.
