The other games today - 2009/10

Recommended Posts

Radio just explained 'by the way, when we say united we mean man united. For the purposes of this commentary we'll call Manchester United United and Leeds United Leeds, its just easier.' Reckons that won't offend Leeds fans

Christ.

The levels of sycophancy on the ITV commentary in regards to 'United' players is unbelievable, tbh.

Out of curiosity, why do people want Leeds to lose, rather than Man United?

Maybe if Man Utd hammer them, Beckford will get fed up and request a move to us and the deal will go through on the cheap

One can only hope

Ditto, hopefully Rangers can get a draw atleast.

On another note, why do Man Utd have to be called United?, like their isn't any other teams called United, and before Man United were.

Commentators positively wanking over a Beckford shot there. Making him out to be some kind of a world beater, rather than a very good League One player.

By saying he was high on confidence as he has 4 goals in his past 2 matches?  Not quite making him out to be a world beater tbh.

It feels like the "Old Firm" plays every other week, where's the charm of a derby if they play it ten times a season? (I'm exaggerating saying ten, just to clarify.)

The BBC are going on and on about how the Leeds fans are still standing up!  Standing up at an away game, it's unheard of.

Aren't Man U fans behind their goal?  They generally do at cup matches.
