London Mags

I'm moving away as well, to Manchester in a few weeks. I might as well use this thread to ask of there's any good places to watch games in the city centre or the Salford area?

Having taught in Salford for the last 20 years ... I'd echo the advice to stay away ... love the place ... salt of the earth etc. ... but a place for amazing casual violence towards the unwary

About 200 metres from my school http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2009/aug/10/hazel-blears-car-attacked

and some of the 'local colour' http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/starsandstories/3669787/Donal-MacIntyre-The-difficult-thing-is-to-leave-with-clean-hands.html

Cock and Lion, Wigmore Street, is 100% Mag-specific. If the game is on legal telly, we'll be on there.

sounds grand, i'll have to have a wander there for the next Newcastle game that i'm around for. been in London for 5 years but tend to keep in Brixton to watch the games.

Where abouts do you live? I live about 10 minutes from Brixton

aye, i know it. it's on the other side of Brockwell Park from where i am - can (vaguely) remember getting hammered around there when London was shut down because of the snow earlier on in the year
