NUFC transfer rumours in the press

Looks like the player in question is Kadar, anyway.

How do you know?

Not that I'm surprised.

I don't, just based on the replies from Douglas.

LEON BEST has been told he can leave Newcastle.

The Republic of Ireland hitman was on fire for a spell last term, bagging six goals in nine starts.

But Toon boss Alan Pardew is to rejig his strike options.

Shola Ameobi is set to stay but Best can follow skipper Kevin Nolan out the door.

Wait what? Why are they intent on keeping the crap but shifting the players who would actually be useful?

Thought he had done enough to earn another chance this season.

Also thought he had the right attitude as well.

Looks like a total overhaul of the squad. Although of course "Shola Ameobi is set to stay", but doesn't that go without saying?

We basically need 3 strikers now then, no way can we go with Shola & Lovenkrands 3rd & 4th choice again.

If we get Ba & Erdinc I'd honestly take Bothroyd on a free as well now, similar standard to Best...but makes the whole thing pointless unless we get a few million for Best.

Surely Best cannot be classed as in the same calibre as Ranger? Considering that's from the Sun, I'll wait and see what comes out from Douglas in the morning before believing it.

Absolutely pointless decision to sell our best striker, even if he's average prem quality at best.

Got to be around the £3m Mark for us to be tempted .

Sorry, but it's a fucking disgrace if he's being flogged while we still have twats like Ameobi and Lovenkrands in the squad.

Geordie Ahmed

How much did we pay for Best?

I don't agree with letting him go - need to try to shift Lovenkrands

I'd hardly call it a disgrace like.

Would prefer him to stay just to stop the need for 3 new strikers keeping Shola & Lovenkrands out but hardly the end of the world.

We need 3 quality strikers, if we get them all fair play but i reckon well struggle to pull in two, keeping Best meant we had some leeway until the right player became available. Unless were going one up front, one main striker and the rest backup, maybe why were being linked with more midfielders.
