NUFC transfer rumours in the press

Gibson has improved and this could be the right move at the right time for him, though obviously he's leaving Man U for a reason.

If we're going for a 4-2-3-1, he and Tiote could form a formidable barrier. We do need to watch the defence a bit, and we can't be packing the midfield with too many Ben Arfas and Marveauxs.

He is as much of a barrier as Guthrie. Not. What a weird thing to say.

Hopefully we have other targets than Ireland and Gibson.

Can see Padrew being stupid enough to Gibson as a replacement for Nolan. He'll come out and say 'he can replace Kevin Nolan. He is a hard working midfielder with an eye for goal' or something ridiculous like that

Vicente's agent confirms he'll be coming to England this summer, Newcastle, Blackburn & Swansea still the three clubs being mentioned.

There are several interested parties who want to take him their way. Clubs like Newcastle, Swansea & Blackburn in the UK, although there has also been interest from Germany (Hamburg & Bayer Leverkusen), Russia (Zenit) and several Portuguese teams.

Though it seems his intentions are clear, "His preference is the Premier League. They play attractive football there which will suit his tecnical ability" said Cermeno.

Money won't be the main factor for the ex-Valencia player and he still feels in good form both mentally and physically. "The main thing is for him to be happy and to feel comfortable on the pitch like he used to, these are the main aspects which will decide where he goes", added his agent.

Tiote would be doing all the work

Gibson has a decent shot on him and his passing aint bad BUT he lacks mobility, technique and awareness - and he can't tackle so he would be awful alongside Tiote, he would be awful full stop.

Gibson is absolute shite. He's been shite in a team that made Smith and Butt look capable.

Simpson key to NUFC bid for Darron Gibson

by Lee Ryder, Evening Chronicle

Interesting that Rondon gets a mention at the end:

United have also cooled their interest in Malaga star Jose Rondon, with talk in Spain intensifying that the 21-year-old will quit the La Liga strugglers this summer.

The Venezuela international caught United’s attention towards the end of last season after bagging 14 goals in 30 games for the Malagonians.

Looks like he's not signing and extension after all?  And if he is not, why has interest cooled on him?
