johnnypd Posted March 8, 2011 Share Posted March 8, 2011 Fabregas and RVP shouldn't have started - that was a gamble from wenger and it backfired, at least for Fabregas who was absolutely awful and looked fucked from the first minute. RVP was always going to struggle against 4 defenders and the ref was off his head for the red. Wilshere was excellent again, and Nasri never gave up - arsenal need more players of not only that standard but that mentality. And Almunia kept them in it for most the game. I think arsenal are better than they were a year ago, but barca were also less clinical than usual, and actually quite sloppy by their standards. what VI said about their fitness regime seems to make sense based on these 2 showings.
