IIRC there's no British embassy or whatever in Ivory Coast. Ghana is the nearest one.

I'm assuming he's gone to the best/only place he can do whatever he needs. I doubt we just picked an African country out of a hat.

The original situation is a farce though.

So the bit of paper that allows him to play for us has nothing to do with the football club? It's fucking lies man.

I'd prefer it if he just said nothing.

I still have absolutely no understanding of what's gone on. Who's refused him a Visa if it's not the British end? How can't he get one when he's worked here for a year? Fucking ridiculous.

If he misses the Arsenal game because of this I think it would make me angrier than anything that's happened over the last few years.

Perhaps he has to get it renewed every year? :dontknow:

Our staff should have pre-empted this in any case.  Useless feckers.

Of course MA will be furious too as the only reason he wasn't playing against WBA and securing 10th place was so he was available for these next two games.

As far as we know he is available?

I don't like the look of these processing times

Service standards

We have service standards for processing UK visa applications in Ghana. Our standards say that we will process:

90 per cent of non-settlement applications within 3 weeks, 98% within 6 weeks and 100% within 12 weeks of the application date; and

95 per cent of settlement applications within 12 weeks and 100% within 24 weeks of the application date.
