Just got his name printed on the back of the home shirt. Lets hope it doesn't end up with the luck with the player I had last year. Ben Arfa, 37.

He had a very poor game IMO, but he's just returned from a extended holiday after all. And Arsenal can bypass pretty much any midfield, it's defences that give them trouble!

Well he finished the game so can't have been that bad - looked like he might have just had a touch of cramp tbh.

He wanted to come off. Taylor gestured towards the bench around the time of the added time board going up. Pardew seemed reluctant.

I thought Tiote played better than most give him credit for, he had to do alot of chasing down (along with Cabaye)...Id rather have the Tiote from yesterday than the usual Guthrie/Smith performance...

While Tiote and Cabaye didn't link up particularly well their work rate was top draw, the former doing what he does best.

Agree,

10% of Tiote > 100% of Smith and Guthrie

Any news on if his injury was serious?

Broke both ankles, dislocated both knees, two pulled hamstrings/calves, fractured tibia/fibula in both legs and two knackered cruciates. I'd expect him to be fit by saturday

Thought he looked off the pace today

Very much so. Can't imagine sitting about in Ghana was doing him much good.

Silly booking yesterday, the first of many this season no doubt.

They're the kind of bookings he should be taking. Arsenal were breaking past the midfield and it needed doing. Similar to Colo's.

He wasn't awful, just looked half a yard off. Obviously didn't get a proper pre season.

Gave away the ball a bit but wasn't the only culprit.
