It wasn't that long ago so not that hard for most people to work out for themselves which version of history is more likely to be accurate. Probably not the version suggesting that SAF, who rarely favoured a DM anyway, wanted to sign Cheick fucking Tiote. Apart from Paul McGrath and Nicky Butt aye I guess you have a point. When was Paul McGrath a midfielder? Played for Ireland and Man United many times as a midfielder and a bloody good one too.
